The ESPN that we use to love watching as kids is no longer there. Their business decisions have been terrible and no longer has the appeal that once led the way for sports television.

Has there ever been a time when you switched sports team allegiances? If so. Why?

Who would want to coach this team? Can only imagine how little support this coach will have. Whoever that will be.

@GeoffLong33 1977. I was 11 years old when the Mets traded Tom Seaver. Became a Reds fan vowing to never root for the Mets again. I came back when he did.

the last few years have tested their fan base for sure....watching Brad jump ship, etc. A pal of mine who supports them was like from week one hoping they would lose to get a good draft pick.. it was sad. but they had a good run and looked like a contender at the end....i think next year Oilers/Bruins SCF 😎

@roberts_mn I can respect that. I don’t have a favorite soccer team in the MLS. But I am sure in time I will figure that out.

@GeoffLong33 Yes, twice in MLS. My original team was Columbus Crew until Salt Lake City got a team (I went to school in Utah), and then when Minnesota got into the league, I switched to my hometown team.

@DenverPandaBear @Rockies They have a major rebuild ahead of them. But with new leadership. Anything is possible.

@GeoffLong33 I’m a huge Reds fan. I haven’t been back in Cincinnati in 15 years. My kiddo loves the @Rockies and Dinger. I’m now a Rockies fan

@GeoffLong33 Iowa doesn’t have an NFL team, my parents didn’t have a team. I grew up a massive @LT_21 fan so I rooted for the Chargers and then the Jets. LT retired so I decided I needed to pick a team and stick with it. Picked the Vikings and have been loyal ever since.

@GeoffLong33 The 76ers have been run so badly for most of the past forty years that a switch would have been justified, especially in the mid-1990s and the mid-2010s. The closest I came to actually switching was rooting hard for the Houston Rockets in the 1990s.

Pre 2004 I was a Blue Jays fan, a bloody ankle and walk off home run turned me into a Red Sox fan!

@SharesnC I think for the last several seasons I have been struggling with this one. Because I have been down for the Bruins for years.

@AggieButthead @GeoffLong33 Yeah. I grew up a Dodgers fan because my Grandpa rooted for them. I served a religious mission in New York City from age 18-20 and lived in the Bronx for 9 months. I interacted with a lot of incredible people and soon felt like one of them, so I became a Yankees fan!

For the first time in my sports life switching allegiances of a sports team. I am struggling with this one. lol Considering leaving my beloved Bruins
