They’ve been conditioned to hate him so much that even a small positive moment connected to him gets them angry. These are mostly churchgoing people who talk about grace and community every Sunday. Two of them even used to brag about wanting to buy a Tesla. Yet when someone they know has a win—even a tiny one—they can’t bring themselves to show basic respect or happiness for it.
