@PrimaryRocks1 This thread is great as playtimes are a big issue for us. Does anyone have a 'go-to' site for playground games with the rules? Thanks 😊

Getting really annoyed with dodgy @Pampers My first experience of them has not been positive. Why make nappies that have dodgy sticking bits. 😩

@Amy_Geog @BBCNewsround have a quick video on it that might help

How to sensitively and informatively answer questions on this at school?

@misswteaching_ @MrTs_NQTs @EYPPC_GA @histassoc are always a great place to start. Did the previous lead/s have anything to pass on to you? We follow a scheme which is worth looking into 😊

What a fantastic idea! 👏

Some craic with #PrimaryGeography adapting Guess Who games to focus on map reading skills -mountains of Ireland, countries of Europe, etc. Using locational language and geographical questions, map reading to guess the correct answer 💪💪👌 children can adapt & make their own 🌍
English

@missgeog92 Do you know if these are useful for primary aged boys? I'm year 6, boy heavy class and struggling. Thanks 😊
English

@amymayforrester I don't think it matters that they're metal...my bluetac does this on all my surfaces in class 🥵 hope the magnets work!

@PriHistGeogHub @Primageographer @primary_geog @e_rotchell @EYPPC_GA Absolutely! We use map symbols at a basic level in KS1 (a tree, a house) , progressing throughout school. OS maps & symbols in KS2. It would be nice to have a more guided progression in this though
English

Interested to know thoughts on this please! 💭
🗺️ Do you think OS maps and map symbols should be included in the primary geography curriculum?
Please share, thank you!

@VerandaThought I worked as TA for 4years to get experience to become a teacher. I had 2 children in full time nursery. It was when parents only got 15hrs when they reached the age for it, not the 30 given now. My husband had to put to my wages to cover it 😒
English

@mytimeteaching I read this and the sequel on holiday 👌 read Verity yesterday, in an afternoon. Couldn't put it down. Enjoy

@Dave_empath @TsuiAllen @DavidBarlex @Locati0ns @ogdentrust Oh, absolutely. To the majority, this would just be a toy. But it could also help a lot of students understand topography a little better.
English

@TsuiAllen @DavidBarlex @GeographyLead @Locati0ns @ogdentrust It looks great and techy too, but I sometimes wonder if we aren't pushing the boat out too fast and distracting and detracting from the core basics. Almost running before one can walk. Solid foundations?
English

Thank you @DavidBarlex for RP this from @GeographyLead originally shared by @Locati0ns I saw one of these some years ago and would absolutely ♥️ one of these for the schools I work for. What do you say @ogdentrust somehow connect this to #PrimaryPhysics ?
