Why did Farage run scared from news interviews today? It’s because there’s something fishy about the £5 million he took. And he knows it. He’s normally very happy to shout from a TV studio - as long as he controls the terms. The truth is that cash wasn’t for Reform. Let’s make this go viral👇

@Metal_Rebel @MartinS195656 @Margare22091471 It is selfish to support the right. They kept wages low for young people, they destroyed the housing market for young people, they allowed rents to sky rocket, they pushed university education prices up, they starved schools of money, they closed start right centres, they ……

I’m 70 and getting as many older younger people as possible to vote labour it’s so crucial to stop reform it really is
Linda@LindaR39

@soniasodha @geof24 I’m 70 this year and @Keir_Starmer is one of the best PM’s in my lifetime. He & his govt have achieved a great deal in a short space of time despite the hostile media. We don’t all fall for their attempts to bring him down. They want @Labour gone regardless of leader.

@geekgoddess2024 @MartinS195656 @Margare22091471 Your memory is different to mine. I remember the hardships of austerity, the difficulties of day to day living, the break up of our communities, the troubles of the NHS, the failure to house our young people, the poor state of education, the only Parliament to make people poorer

@George4dly @MartinS195656 @Margare22091471 The picture at the end wasn’t perfect, but inflation had come down and unemployment was low. If Labour’s approach is better, we should be seeing clear improvements — and that’s not obvious yet.

@geekgoddess2024 @MartinS195656 @Margare22091471 It is , as you say, going down the toilet. That is because we have had 14 years of a right wing government. I don’t see how another right wing party will change that. Labour has had less than two years and there are definitely shoots of positive changes.

@George4dly @MartinS195656 @Margare22091471 These are local elections for ffs but come the next GE its paramount that we throw labour to the kerb We are more divided and our country is going down the toilet. This government has no strategic plan to improve this country. A bunch of out of touch charletons

@MNov1986 @MartinS195656 @Margare22091471 I agree that 14 years of Tory rule has brought about the decline in this country. What I don’t understand is that people should think that another right wing party will make it any better.

@George4dly @MartinS195656 @Margare22091471 Genuinely, do you think the country is better now than in the 90s/early 00s? Do you think it is more divided now or then? Maybe you think it's better now, and fair enough if that's your view. Most people would probably say it isn't. Hence, would would anyone be frightened....

@darrenpjones @bbcquestiontime @rachelmillward Darren, please pass onto Keir that we know he’s been getting punched from so many angles, it’s actually abhorrent, but many of us still believe in him & want him as PM. Please tell Wes & Angela to have some loyalty. We don’t want them as PM & they will only harm Labour more.

(Setting aside the “carpet bomb” threat), I note that Nigel Farage and Robert Jenrick both missed the vote … that’s 25% of your MPs. Not that important to you then.

Never anticipated saying this but I agree with Matthew Syed. The determination among politicians who’ve proved untrustworthy & much of the media including the BBC to bring down Starmer, whatever the pretext, is unprecedented.
Matthew Syed@matthewsyed

The bandwidth sucked up by the Mandelson non-story is embarrassing. A minor appointment taken in what was perceived to be the national interest. Astonishing that the Westminster bubble is still obsessed but then tittle tattle started to define British politics a long time ago

So ITV lunchtime news leads with the Mandleson affair before reporting on the King’s meeting with Trump. Speaks volumes about their mission to destabilise our democratically elected government.

There’s a bigger battle in life than elections: the battle of good over bad, morality over immorality, truth over lies. A decline in moral standards has tempted people to value arrogance, division & hate over integrity & unity. Keir Starmer seeks the good. That IS the truth!

Keir Starmer has imposed a three-line whip on Labour MPs to oppose the motion referring him to the Privileges Committee for misleading parliament. In effect, he is threatening Labour MPs who abstain or vote for this with suspension. Absolutely disgraceful. And typical of him.

A very powerful speech from Labour MP @EmmaLewell . Sincere and honest she didn’t mince her words asking why @Keir_Starmer didn’t refer himself to the Privileges committee. How many Labour MPs will put their country before Party in the vote later today.
