No one has asked him to raise taxes for the Bears! Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker says he’s ready to call a special session if there’s legislation ready to keep the Chicago Bears from moving to Indiana. But he lays some of the blame for the Bears likely move to Hammond on the team itself.

Pritzker gaggled with reporters following an event in Chicago this afternoon. Among the fumbles he mentioned: 2024 press conference with Mayor Johnson about a lakefront stadium that needed public funding, lack of a legislative strategy, pivoting between different locations, etc.

Gov. Pritzker on some of the Bears’ “fumbles” in Springfield. He also said that “if the legislature can get together on one piece of legislation,” he would be “happy to call a special session.”

Pritzker is a purely political snake who can’t be trusted. If the economic packages were equal (Illinois vs Indiana), Pritzker and the untrustworthy Dem legislature would be the strongest reasons to go to Hammond! Remember, all the Illinois counties bordering Indiana have voted to get the he*l out of Illinois and become part of Indiana (for good reason).
