whenever someone makes a mistake we hold a tribunal over discord for whoever messed up
every member on our team takes turns attacking this person - partly professionally, mostly personally
finally the individual self flagellates (metaphorically although literally is fine too) until the team is satisfied
this ends up working long term because no one wants to be in that position

The TurboQuant paper (ICLR 2026) contains serious issues in how it describes RaBitQ, including incorrect technical claims and misleading theory/experiment comparisons. We flagged these issues to the authors before submission. They acknowledged them, but chose not to fix them. The paper was later accepted and widely promoted by Google, reaching tens of millions of views. We’re speaking up now because once a misleading narrative spreads, it becomes much harder to correct. We’ve written a public comment on openreview (openreview.net/forum?id=tO3AS…). We would greatly appreciate your attention and help in sharing it.

My utter most respect for mr clawd father himself but that’s what I mean by “paid exposure”. All of the big labs are paying for the illusion that their models are the only solution. Thay are not!

A summary of the Cursor-Kimi drama:
Cursor created Composer 2, an LLM that is good at coding
They claimed frontier-level at coding after evals on a closed internal benchmark: CursorBench
A user found out that Composer 2 uses the same tokenizer as Kimi-k2.5, indicating that Composer 2 is likely just a fine-tuned Kimi
Kimi-k2.5 is open source, but requires large companies to state attribution, but Cursor did not mention using Kimi
Kimi employees post about it.
Hours later they take down those posts.
Hours later Kimi confirms that Cursor used their model.
And its employees did not know

So apparently composer 2 is “groundbreaking” while kimi has been doing it for months. That’s why I am telling all my friends that wherever “the hype” is it’s most likely paid advertisement and not real performance. Be brave to research and experiment folks!

was messing with the OpenAI base URL in Cursor and caught this accounts/anysphere/models/kimi-k2p5-rl-0317-s515-fast so composer 2 is just Kimi K2.5 with RL at least rename the model ID

After much reflection, I have decided to resign from my position as Director of the National Counterterrorism Center, effective today.
I cannot in good conscience support the ongoing war in Iran. Iran posed no imminent threat to our nation, and it is clear that we started this war due to pressure from Israel and its powerful American lobby.
It has been an honor serving under @POTUS and @DNIGabbard and leading the professionals at NCTC.
