Well it would be nice to get the builders together more frequently to have a more unified effort to push things forward. I honestly feel by myself and alone sometimes and could use the motivation of having some beers with like minded folks.

Why I STILL remain super bullish about @chia_project on the 5th Anniversary of Mainnet edition thread 🧵 See below previous threads for many other reasons, also as always not financial advice, make your own decisions.

ICE brutally detain man inside Home Depot—ripping his shirt off in front of other shoppers. "Was all that beating necessary?" witnesses ask. "He was on the floor and you were attacking him." Video shows man lying dazed and immobilized on floor with agent sitting on top of him with his full body weight. Agents claim to have a warrant—but don't even know the name of the man they are arresting. The incident occurred inside a Home Depot location in Paramount, California.

🚨BREAKING: A federal judge just ordered the release of Jisella Johana Patin Patin, after ICE agents broke into her home and illegally arrested her, in South Burlington, Vermont. As a recap… Last week, ICE agents forced their way into a private home while executing a warrant for a completely different person. The man they were supposedly looking for wasn’t inside. Instead of leaving, agents arrested an Ecuadorian woman, who happened to be in the home, even though she was not the target of the warrant and is currently in the United States with a pending asylum case, meaning she is already in the legal process. And as her attorney said… “The fact that someone broke down the door to her home and detained her using a warrant that did not have her name on it — that’s a big constitutional violation… That can’t keep happening to people.” That is not a small technicality… that goes to the core of how search warrants are supposed to work in this country. A warrant is not a blank check... It is not general authority to sweep up whoever is present. It is supposed to be specific and limited. If agents can break into a home looking for one individual, fail to find that person, and then detain others who were not named… That’s a constitutional violation. Now, she’s being released after a federal judge ruled there was no good reason to keep her detained. Which is great… But that just raises the question: If there was no good reason to detain her… why was she arrested in the first place? Constitutional protections aren’t optional. Homes are supposed to be protected spaces, and warrants are supposed to limit government power, not expand it. When those boundaries blur, it puts everyone at risk. This case isn’t just about one release... It’s about whether the Fourth and Fifth Amendments still mean what they say when federal agents show up at your door.

ICE continues to bring chaos into communities across America. But we will not be silenced. Protest. Activism. Questioning authority. These are not crimes, they are the lifeblood of a healthy democracy and a necessary check on agencies that abuse their power. Republicans in Congress refuse to provide any kind of meaningful oversight or check and balances or hold ICE accountable for their lawlessness. I will not vote for another dollar to fund an agency that is out of control and endangering our communities.

@sol_plunder The computer is fast and reliable but stupid. The human is smart but slow and error-prone. The AI is somewhere in between. It's hard to say which side it's closer to because its existence clarifies how unimaginably wide the gulf was to begin with.

I'm sold on AI for coding, it is very good now. I am no longer a skeptic. However, it really does not feel like a categorical change in experience. Tech work has always been about collaboration with a machine which is much faster than you, trying to get the machine to do more.

If you’re running a low-end full node like the Raspberry Pi4 on Chia, it is highly unlikely you could benefit from full blocks and the associated fees. With PoS2, they are pitching RPi5 as a potential new minimum. Skip right over that. If you like that form factor, shoot for an Intel NUC with a modern i3+ and at least 8 GB of RAM and NVMe. Some performance fixes I’m seeing in the GitHub will improve things. Others are introducing new pain points. If Chia starts to have more success, it will be a target for more shenanigans. Watch your logs and metrics for things that don’t look right. If you just want to be a passive participant, that’s of course your choice. But you also can’t complain that your rewards are 65% of some aspirational formula. Blockchain is the most hostile environment you can ever place a computer in. Respect that.
