Great to hear from a diverse range of residents at yesterday's Public Inquiry into London City Airport's expansion plans. All spoke from the heart. All said how much they valued the weekend break from the noise. As one resident put it 'when will they listen to the little guy?'
I now have the ability to analyse arrival and departure activity by UK airport. In the case of Southend Airport, last WEEK, between midnight and 6am there were 13 arrivals & 7 departures. Same week in 2019 there were 2 arrivals & 1 departure.

@HACANEast Experience here in Geneva over the Summer shows that the Business flights go overwhelmingly to nice holiday destinations, very often in the South of France.
London City just issued a report showing..wait for it..business argues aviation is important. Who'd have known?! But maybe inevitable City has to hype it up as it relies on business passengers more than any other airport..and so far they haven't returned: media.londoncityairport.com/business-air-t…
