Katie and I entered the Schengen Zone a month ago. At the time, FCO's EES system said I had 91 days left. Today, I entered Schengen via ATH. After an hour wait (with announcements blaming EES for the wait), the immigration officer claimed the system said I had 93 days left 😂

I was enroute STTJFK last night on Delta, we diverted to BDL. They gave us the opportunity to get off if we wanted to after 1hr on the ground at BDL, I took it and drove back home (SYR, 3.5hrs away). Glad I did, turns out the flight overnight delayed. Better experience than B6 😁

Pretty insane flight to get home from a quick vacation. Boarded B6 882 UVF-JFK at 3PM. Held for an hour, WX +TSRA divert to BWI. Land ~10PM 2.5 hours hard stand waiting for fuel. Midnight: depart BWI-JFK (hold again) land 00:45 It’s 2:30 AM, 11.5 hours in the seat, still no gate. Both engines shut down on taxiway. No food. No drinks. Hell basically. JFK is awful. B6 is bad. Not doing this again. 👎

So I just happened to be in Asia for the very first time when this arrived… the plane battled some tough conditions on arrival into HND looks like it almost had a winglet strike during landing

PHEW! Icelandair cancelled the route, and I had a feeling they’d be next, but it’s too close to the summer season so I’m glad it’s not being canceled this year 😮💨

Deleted a post about Delta canning Detroit-Reykjavik this summer because @xJonNYC (the original source, who rarely misses) says he got it wrong. Still worth keeping an eye on, IMO - if not this year then next.

Interesting seeing an @Allegiant 737MAX flying without half of one of its scimitar’s (bottom of the left one is missing). While not having both of them fully there isn’t something that will ground the plane, it’s still pretty odd seeing one of them flying around with passengers

What’s the craziest most UNHINGED routing you’ve ever taken in one trip, AND gotten a bag tag for. Not, “it was a long flight” and blah blah blah, NO. UNHINGED, like the routing makes absolutely ZERO sense… I’ll start:

@atrude777 Ah, yeah, I knew those three were Covid related, but I didn’t know about the other two… I was in Kalamazoo when United ended service, they even gave me a couple of their stanchions to take home 😆

CMI was also COVID related. I trained that station. BMI was before the CO merger.

AZO, LAN, and LSE are definitely resumptions for things they stopped during Covid, not sure about the other two though

That is actually very surprising… This route sees a lot of connecting traffic and especially flights to Europe for the evening SYR – EWR departure… however this might be strategy as it does open up an overnight parking gate for United in Syracuse (SFO????)
