David is an important behind the scenes kind of guy with the Alberta separatist movement.
Behind the scenes mostly because he has the charisma of an STD.
Similar to as we are seeing in the USA, the far right MAGA movement is based in White Christian Nationalism.
David Parker completely and without apology embraces that same mindset and vision for Canada.
The vast majority of those pushing for Alberta to separate are White Christian Nationalists, although many of them don’t even know what that is.

Jason Stephan, UCP MLA for Red Deer S, is not only a separatist, but a coward.
He waited to out himself publicly as a separatist until his recall petition was done.
There are many more separatist cowards in the UCP

At the Cornerstone Forum yesterday I heard @ABDanielleSmith say the reason she won’t do anything to curb TFW and IMP visas in Alberta was because she ran in 2022 on INCREASING Alberta’s population.
She claims that that means she doesn’t have a mandate to stop foreign workers clogging our emergency rooms and classrooms with their extended families .
She could force their employers to post 50,000 bonds per worker tomorrow to offset healthcare and education costs.
She claimed that before she could lift a finger to do anything she needed a referendum 6 months from now to address this crisis.
I have never heard a federalist politician say anything so stupid.

Just like small hand-picked group from UCP re-elected Danielle Smith as UCP leader, even though her separatist enabling, imperious spending, and poor ethics don’t reflect majority of Alberta’s conservatives.
She’s worse than Redford or Kenney. In time, they’ll turf her out too.

This weekend, NDP members elected self-declared “eco-socialist” Avi Lewis @avilewis as their leader. Lewis has called for a full ban on new pipelines and all fossil fuel development, at a time when the world needs Alberta energy more than ever. And while Naheed Nenshi @nenshi may try to distance himself, the Alberta NDP’s own constitution makes clear they are tied to the federal party. The truth is, the Alberta NDP has a long track record of opposing pipelines and energy development. Their extreme views are a danger to jobs and affordability. The UCP will never stop fighting against radical forces, including the Alberta NDP, who want to shut down our economy and keep our resources in the ground.
