@soychotic My guess is that they are paid for by marketing and used as alt. revenue. Everything you described is what makes the experience worse, but I bet the decision was on a net gain. This type of thing reeks of decisions made outside of actual experience.

I will NEVER be able to comprehend this design change. A. They’re almost always wrong. B. They cost more money (always-on display, need to regenerate upon new products, loss of cold air because they’re always wrong) C. They do not make the lives of the employees or customers easier (again…displays are always wrong) D. WTF was wrong with the see-through doors in the first place? @Walgreens if you wanted to waste money on something, couldn’t you have implemented self-checkout devices instead? Your stores have plenty of real problems that could be solved; there was no need to make up one that didn’t exist. This pisses me off so bad because like how the fuck was this brainstormed, proposed, and then went through the entire implementation process? I don’t want to shop at a store run by morons I’m sorry I’m afraid I might catch it

Current application status: No salary listed on the posting. Received an email a little later with a link to a set of questions to answer with video responses. This was one of the first questions. I am no longer a good candidate and you've wasted all of our time.

A little disappointed a lot of the advice I've been getting lately for my career is to just throw money at problems. I know there are low cost alternatives for most things, but still seems like I don't fit into any of the groups people have advice for. It's expensive to exist

newcomers to LA don’t understand how good we had it for so long. there were no mosquitoes ever. it was basically balmy and 70 degrees year round. rents weren’t that bad at all (but we thought they were!)

Mayors + governors talking about people not accepting services should be called liars because they're lying!! The services and housing they're talking about DONT EXIST! They literally just want the courts to let them throw unhoused people's belongings away w/o any considerations!
