Today, we formally notified the entities that we will be stepping down from our duties as a member of the Pentad. We want to thank the members for their shared commitment to Cardano throughout our time working alongside them.
Our immediate priority is the @secondfiapp recovery process, and we are concentrating our resources where they are needed most. We believe this is the right decision for our users and for the ecosystem, and it reflects the standard of accountability we hold ourselves to as a founding entity of Cardano.
As stated by SecondFi, quarantine mode is being enabled this week, letting users check if a wallet address appears in preliminary incident data and submit a support ticket. Our intention is that next week, the secure wallet export will be deployed to help affected users safely move assets to a new wallet. On asset recovery, we continue to make progress with the recovery tool, initiated through a portal, that keeps users in control while protecting their information

van Rossem hard fork update 🍴
The Cardano PreProd testnet has enacted the hard fork action on June 10, 2026 at 00:00 UTC and is now on Protocol Version 11.
The final checkpoint before progress moves to Mainnet, SPOs. DApps, developers and exchanges are highly encouraged to test their setups and provide feedback so that the Hard Fork Working Group can make an informed decision on Mainnet submission timelines.

Naquela época, a Alemanha controlava grande parte da Europa, inclusive a França. Os Aliados queriam entrar na Europa para começar a retomar o controle dos alemães. A Normandia foi escolhida porque tinha praias nas quais os Aliados podiam pousar e ficava a uma curta distância dos aviões que os Aliados tinham na Grã-Bretanha.
O ataque foi uma surpresa para os alemães, planejado em segredo. Começou bem cedo, antes mesmo do nascer do sol, e envolvia três partes principais:
Ataque aerotransportado, com paraquedistas lançados atrás das linhas inimigas com a missão de capturar lugares importantes, como pontes, para impedir que os alemães trouxessem reforços.
Bombardeio naval, com navios no Canal da Mancha bombardeando pesadamente as defesas alemãs na costa. Isso enfraqueceria as defesas antes que as forças principais desembarcassem.
E finalmente o desembarque anfíbio, com milhares de soldados desembarcando nas praias da Normandia em barcos especiais. Isso foi realmente perigoso porque eles foram atacados pelas defesas alemãs que estavam estrategicamente posicionadas ao longo da costa. Havia cinco praias onde desembarcaram, com os nomes de código Utah, Omaha, Gold, Juno e Sword.
Apesar de muitas dificuldades e muitas pessoas corajosas perdendo suas vidas, os Aliados conseguiram proteger as praias e avançar para a França.
Estima-se que cerca de 10% dos homens que desembarcaram na Normandia neste dia 6 de junho foram mortos ou feridos.

IOG doesn’t always move as fast as people would like, but it continues to build toward its long-term vision. Delays are inevitable when you’re solving hard problems and prioritizing correctness over shortcuts.
RealFi is a perfect example of returning to first principles and the original mission: banking the unbanked.
I really resonate with this message from Charles. I’d like to hear more of it. Less crowd-pleasing. Less focus on price action. More focus on building the things we believe can make the world better.
Price will follow - or it won’t. But if Cardano can live up to its promise and potential of improving lives around the world, we’ll all be better for it.
