Als bibliofiel kan ik er niet omheen: op 22 maart 1621 ontsnapte rechtsgeleerde Hugo de Groot (1583-1645) in een boekenkist uit Slot Loevestein. Ideetje van zijn vrouw. De Groot zat met zijn gezin levenslang opgesloten in het kasteel vanwege zijn steun aan Van Oldenbarnevelt.

@GardenBrocante My son got a very noisy guitar for his birthday with the tune of Sesame street programmed in it. Fortunately it had batteries, so when the batteries ran out, the guitar was "finished". Years later he found out about the batteries and said I was a genius!

Good morning everyone, I've got a big favour to ask. I’ve been contacted by a mum of an autistic girl asking for help. As a family they are having a pretty tough week. Their dog has sadly had major eye surgery resulting in the loss of them both. On top of this she has lost her little bear who is her best friend and comfort. Mum has tried everything to find a replacement bear, but can’t find this particularly one ‘Abbie’ anywhere. You can buy other bears of this type online. Could I please kindly ask if anyone knows where mum can find another bear, The bears name is Abbie and is a Snuggle Friends Hunter price bear, can I kindly ask that you retweet so that we can hopefully find a new bear for this little girl.

I went out Metal Detecting with my dog: Takkie! I’ve found a hand full of 17/18th Century things… A thimble with a marble in there, an old clay pipe bowl from the 17th Century, a coin weight, some buckles, lead bullets and other stuff..! 😎👍🍀

@VanGoyen1 I have insurance. It's connected via some records system. My point is that, no, I don't have an insurance card. Never have. I've never needed to provide insurance numbers. They must just have it somewhere.

You’ve gotta laugh haven’t you. I popped into this very upmarket hotel/wine bar in Soho because I needed a toilet. As I walked in, one of the very lovely waitresses greeted me and I was too embarrassed to say I’d only come in for the toilet so now I’m sitting here with all the beautiful people, having a glass of wine. I don’t know how much this wine is, but I’m guessing it’ll be the most expensive penny I’ve ever spent.

When my son moved I offered to keep his two kittens during the move so we didn’t have to worry about them escaping like two of my mom‘s cats did and were never found. It’s been eight years. I think he forgot to pick them up. ❤️🐈
