@superserz Sorry to hear that's happening. Apple Watch has been tough to troubleshoot because I can't seem to recreate these issues. Are there any specific steps that reproduce the issue every time, or is it just generally long rides with multiple stops?

@GetCadenceApp The apple watch app has some problems. Sometime it freezes and becomes unresponsive and it has shut down by force quitting. Especially on long rides where there are multiple stops.

@GetCadenceApp Is there a way to make my Apple Watch automatically open the app when I start a workout on my iPhone?

Another long ride today. Actually found option to search directions for a location while on the go in app, great! Only new issue noticed was when stopping the app didn’t auto pause the workout like it does in the Apple workout app and third party apps like FITIV. Hopefully added

Just tried @getcadenceapp for the 1st time on new bike with Varia (first time), DuoTrap, AppleWatch, and Commuter Pro, all synced up. Wow, what a game changer compared to using @Strava or @AllTrails or @RideWithGPS. The app is absolute bliss an Varia integration is a game changer

@TechRemarker It's set to update every second rather than continuously show a smooth animation to help with battery life

and for some reason it's not working for me? Otherwise hopefully support for that is coming soon as otherwise imagine battery drain would be a problem for a long ride. Also the Maps (at least Apple maps seems very jittery rather than smooth like Apple Maps.

One other noticeable omission is unlike the other workout apps I'm using this one does not yet seem to embrace the always on lock screen which can show data live but uses drastically less battery life than using the app itself the entire ride. Unless it does

@p2nvl @Activelook1 Hmm if you're using the Stryd through iPhone it should be saving the power to your History. The Stryd sends power data like a cycling power meter. Running power specifically from Apple Watch will be added in the future.

@p2nvl @Activelook1 Yes, currently working on screen customization! In the meantime, there are power values available on the fourth screen. Screen order is General > Speed > HR > Power > Cadence > Elevation

@GetCadenceApp @Activelook1 It works great ! It will be important to be able to customise the screen (I’m really missing power and lap info for example)

@superserz Sorry about that: black and white color themes were an accident, "Black" and "White" was only supposed to show up for individual metric fields. This has been fixed in version 2.1.6, please make sure to update.

@GetCadenceApp found a bug. If you have dark mode on with the black or white theme colour, the info on the screen is unreadable.

@ReoMagus You should see power data but Cadence doesn't do any FTP estimates, only manual entry on the Power Zones screen. If you're not seeing power in Apple's apps, make sure that Cadence has permission to write power data in the main Settings app > Health > Data Access > Cadence.

@GetCadenceApp should I be able to see my power data and FTP estimate in the Apple Activity app from rides recorded in Cadence? So far, I don’t see it.

@whulsbergen Just tap the Lap button when you're recording to create a new lap. There's a default Lap Stats screen as well, but you can add lap metrics to any of your screens. After you save, you can view the stats of each lap on the activity details screen.

@GetCadenceApp I have a feature request: configurable “resume” speed. Currently auto-pause resumes even if I walk a bit, which messes with the average speed a lot :-)

@superserz There's not currently a field that shows the remainder of the elevation for a route, but I have plans to make a more dedicated climbing interface that will have that data.

@superserz Thank you! No, Elevation: Total Change shows total elevation change of your recorded ride. So if you went up a 1,000ft climb, that number would be 1,000. But then if you turned around and went down, you'd now be at 0.

@GetCadenceApp love your app as I just started using it, so here’s a question: if I understand correctly, elevation: total change shows the reminder of elevation per route?

@Fodoj "compete with myself on same routes" is handled by Strava Live Segment support, though you need a paid Strava subscription for that. I do plan to add workout and interval support in the future, just need to get to it!

So far I did a short 60km ride last weekend and everything was great so far, great job on UI/UX and leveraging native SDKs! My only wish (though not a biggie) is to have a way to compete with myself on same routes and maybe in general some kind of training/workout support, but that's not critical at all for me for now :)

This year switching my cycling setup from @WorkOutDoorsApp + @komoot to @GetCadenceApp only (with the new watch app). Still going to build routes on Komoot, but will use Cadence as a single pane of glass - route, power, cadence, heart rate and zones streamed from the watch. Impressively nice app!
