This week on DailyMTG Carmen says, "I've met 2 people who said Oops! All Spells is the only way they could play Legacy" as a justification for keeping that deck legal. twitch.tv/videos/2730658… What a load of garbage.

@SaffronOlive This would have been a cool thing, if it works like I think it does, for the DND set (for prepared spells).

I know this is a leak rather than an official spoiler, but since this seems to be confusing people I'm like 99% sure that you can't just cast Ancestral Recall. My guess is that ability it tied to the creature being prepared. So play the creature, pay one to Ancestral and then you'll need to prepare again by exiling eight cards from your graveyard if you want to do it again. At least that's my guess.

Let's say I wanted to put together a bracket of iconic Modern decks from the pre-Modern Horizons era. What's one deck that you think absolutely must be included?

@MoonCaseyR @SaffronOlive Haven't seen ketramose since the rizzler. Archetype is dead atm. GB mid is a dead achetype and idk where else DRS would slot in.

@Getwingsz @SaffronOlive DRS is not actually a card for golgari decks though, it's a card for any deck that that can make either black or green mana, in this case probably esper ketramose

There are a bunch of cards I'd like to see unbanned in Modern. 1.) Deathrite Shaman 2.) Umezawa's Jitte 3.) Punishing Fire 4.) Ponder 5.) Glimpse of Nature 6.) Birthing Pod 7.) Blazing Shoal I think the top four are the easiest to unban, Glimpse, Pod and Shoal have some risk, but so did Mox Opal and that turned out for the best in the end, so I'd still be fine with giving it a shot. Blazing Shoal might not be worth it, I think it's like 90% unplayable and 10% makes some broken combo deck, which might me it's not worth trying.

@eternalmadness2 @SaffronOlive One is cantrip density, which was an issue (amount of cantrips in your deck). Preordain sees 3 cards and ponder sees 4. Ponder is good if you want to shuffle. It's good with fetches. It also insulates you better against thoughtseize.

@Getwingsz @SaffronOlive What about ponder makes it too good? A card like preordain which can competed with ponder across various formats isn't even an auto include in modern blue decks

I don’t have many thoughts on commander anymore, but “ban Thassa’s Oracle” has always felt like foolish cause that would improve the experience of nobody at any bracket level. Love seeing “case closed” on this one. Nice work, panel. 👍🏻

@ThrabenU I saw the video and the story. Truly disheartening and vile. Some people use magic as an escape for the shit they have to deal with irl. That's why it's extra important to treat everyone fairly and equally. Be cool to each other. And honestly yeah, fuck that comment.
