@NewsWire_US Imagine the high speed rails, tech (autonomous cabs, etc), upgraded education system, and what this investment in society could bring. We could be living in the future.

Thought experiment. If Strategy bought all of the bitcoin in existence, what would the total network value be? Zero. Networks are valued based on their *distribution*. Strategy accumulating bitcoin is neutral at best, but likely bearish. :)

Because of science: Water doesn’t kill you. Scratches aren’t fatal. Dentists stop pain fast. Food lasts through winter. 200 years ago? None of this was normal. Life expectancy doubled. Not luck. Science works.

@seungminkim I see lots of people in this thread still struggling to understand that governments are monopolies on violence.

Probably an unpopular opinion, but billionaires tend to do lot more good for society with their money than the government.

HONEST QUESTION If the armies of the future will be comprised of robots & drones/unmanned vehicles, when one side's robot army loses a war...will the people of that country accept the result peacefully, or will they also take up arms against the enemy?

Breaking news: "$1B one person" companies will never exist. Solopreneurship is a deeply dishonest framing. There are no solopreneurs. There are no organizations that will reach such mythological scale with one person only. Individuals can own these companies, make substantial decisions in them, set directions for them, etc but they will always need employees and/or freelancers to expand. AI won't change that, but it may shift the balance towards "fractional" support (just to use an en vogue terminology) rather than full-time. No "Claude 1billion" tool will reverse this.

You say Bukele is right-wing. Bukele says: "Everybody knows I'm a left-wing person and I've said it before. I believe in the state intervention. Of course in our country we need more socialism" And if you don't trust the words, look at the actions: increased state involvement in all areas of economy through more regulation and public spending (has incremented >250% the public debt during his tenure, laws that regulate and require permission for everything from cutting down a tree on your land to producing AI services), "free" handouts (paid water and electricity bills, obligatory 25th bi-weekly salary, school uniforms, laptops, etc), centralized planning of the economy (building hospitals, schools, roads, energy generation), redistribution of wealth (public pensions, healthcare, subsidized transportation and agriculture)

If passed, NY would enforce S7263 mainly through private civil lawsuits under the new General Business Law §390-f. Any user harmed by "substantive" AI advice (e.g., medical diagnosis or legal counsel) in the listed professions could sue the chatbot operator ("proprietor") for actual damages—plus costs and attorney fees if the violation was willful. No disclaimers absolve liability. It's complaint-driven via NY courts, likely prompting operators to filter or limit access for NY users. The bill is still on the Senate floor calendar, not yet law.
