@CHARLOT21755647 The editing in this scene is extraordinary. We can follow what happening both narratively and emotionally with the flashbacks and sequencing shifts. This is such a brilliant piece of story telling.

The close-up on Bix’s face looking straight to camera was the idea of editor Yan Miles. Those shots were originally meant to be seen on the monitor Cassian is looking at. The whole scene shows flashbacks within flashbacks.

Lonni becomes an even more major player in Andor s2 but as manipulative as Luthen can be he uses the truth where he can and this admiration is real . Lonni is performing all the time, non-stop. He also has a wife and baby daughter he is trying to protect. 🫡

@words_salad The full quote where he says about Cass’s connection to his past is so heartbreaking bc only Wilmon and Vel would even know who his mom is at this point and neither would know Clem. Bix really is his only connection to the past and she doesn’t even know Kenari like Maarva did.

@matpolloy Definitely! I’m sure that’s another layer to the episode with this title, because there’s Cassian referring to Syril’s blaster with a nonchalant “Didn’t get a name”. Meanwhile, Syril clearly spends a lot of hours of obsessing over him and memorising his image 😧

Skeen’s words resonate through the rest of the series. The Empire moves from atrocity to atrocity, forgetting that some of these “trees” have long memories. Gorst doesn’t remember from where he saw Bix but she reminds him before taking her turn at the chopping.
