We're launching the pre-order for the the German Puma u14, an AVF with a 30mm cannon and Spike-LR II missiles! The unique appearance is inspired by a Puma from the Panzergrenadierbataillon 33, with an urban camouflage used in a military exercise.

@StrayRoyal @soraskeyblade1 Ah, so again you're trying to argue that isn't what real anime is by saying it's not the same industry. But that era is the foundation for the entire medium as we know it. Stuff like super robot mecha and magical girls originate during that time.
English

@Giantnerd14 @soraskeyblade1 So you want examples of shows before 65? At that point most of it for kids so of course there's not going to be a lot of stuff like that. But like you said yourself there are a few shows from the late 60's that feature it. But honestly it's barely the same industry at that point
English

@StrayRoyal @soraskeyblade1 Can you give an actual example? It's generally accepted that what we call fan service solidified with Cutie Honey. And I'd guess there are some obscure precursors a few years prior. But at best that's the very end of the 60s.
English

@Giantnerd14 @soraskeyblade1 You're just arguing from biased sources though. There was fancervice around during the time Astroboy came out and during the time Ghibli started out, you're just trying to pick more wholesome examples to prove a non existent point
English

@StrayRoyal @soraskeyblade1 If it's not fan service then your whole point is null and void. It's not some core part of anime/manga that goes back to the beginning. You're just doing more "No True Scotsman" by claiming that's what real anime is.
English

@Giantnerd14 @soraskeyblade1 No I don't. But I also don't think it's "clean". I also don't necessarily think all swimsuits are fanservice either. I do however think that giving a character big boobs for the sake of someone enjoying them one last time before death very much borders on fanservice.
English

@StrayRoyal @soraskeyblade1 Again, you think Astro Boy not wearing a shirt is fan service?
English

@Giantnerd14 @soraskeyblade1 I'm saying that those aren't exactly as "clean" as you seem to think. Not that those two are examples of in your face fanservice. But honestly at this point you clearly don't actually care and is just trying to force a point no matter how much I explain
English

@StrayRoyal @soraskeyblade1 Are you seriously saying a shirtless little boy is fan service? Saying that a death scene is fan service 'cus there's a woman with a larger bust ain't much better.
English

@Giantnerd14 @soraskeyblade1 Astro boy is half naked most of the time and it's also a kid's show. Miyazaki has talked about how it was necessary to give one of his heroines huge boobs so another character could die in peace pressed against them.. It may not be as obvious as panty shot, but it was still there
English

@StrayRoyal @soraskeyblade1 Oh really? I don't remember fan service in Astro Boy or any other of Tezuka's work. Same goes for Miyazaki. The old guard of anime/manga were inspired by Disney films. It wasn't until late 60s or early 70s that fan service started to become a thing.
English

@Giantnerd14 @soraskeyblade1 Fanservice is and has been a core part of the medium since it started. Some shows has a lot of it, some have very little. If you and your friends can't accept it as a part of the story and mostly ignore it, then perhaps you should watch shows with less fanservice instead?
English

@StrayRoyal @soraskeyblade1 Fanservice is a weird hill to die on. It's the main reason I can't recommend older anime to people not aware of the when and why. 'Cus it gets really awkward when they ask about the leering shots of a character stated to be 13 in a skin-tight suit.
English

@Giantnerd14 @soraskeyblade1 ...Maybe like how joining a fandom known for fanservice, certain character tropes, a different culture, and certain common jokes and demanding they change all those things is ridiculous and takes an insane amount of effort as opposed to finding something you actually like...
English

@EthanLevins2 When we find out how much they pay you will we be impressed or disappointed?

@chatswithem @SkyNews @IvorBennett Russia has been trying to destroy Ukraine as a culture and people since the days of the Empire. The Soviets tried starving them to death, and the Federation has pretended they were always Russian deep down.
But let's believe them that this time they were actually justified.
English

Well if you told the truth his family would apologise and make up
How about you tell the truth re Donbas
... see tweet below ⬇️
Zelensky promised to "end the war in Donbas"
What you mean there's been a war for a decade before the Russian/ukraine conflict?? You mean where Ukrainian forces were attacking ethnic Russian Ukrainians and where tens of thousands had been killed ? Where Ukraine banned the Russian language and the main religion of the Orthodox Church and legalised descrimination against ethnic Russians.
Well gosh/ that sounds like a basis for Russia to enter the conflict no? Which is what they did and why they've focused on that exact area
Why isn't that talked about in the western news?
Because this would flip the narrative and show how Ukraine was the bad one and Russia was actually trying to help a huge area of Ukraine ? As well as standing up to aggressive moves by NATO and the many dangerous bio labs set up by the USA.
Russia is not the bad man here. The West is by pushing these lies and the aggressive warmongering.
Only by facing and telling the truth can true peace and harmony be achieved.
Something unfortunately many elites do not want to see.

Ben Stimson has been called a traitor in the UK. In Russia, he is seen as a hero. But why did an antiques dealer from Oldham decide to fight for Vladimir Putin?
In his first interview with British media, Stimson sat down with Sky's @IvorBennett

@CarstenLoo @SWagenknecht You are insane. Russia did not start the war. It was defending it s people in Donbas . Ru was never a threat to Germany . More than 80 years peace. Ru was a business partner (China filled the vacuum), ru was reliable for cheap energy- that’s benefitting China and India now.

@EthanLevins2 Lying aside, after all the civilian targets Russia has demolished over the years why is it a headline that one might get hit in return? There was no pearl-clutching any time missiles were raining down on apartment buildings and shops far from the front.
English

@DarthBa99009357 @BryceMLipscomb The front has only been flowing westward as the 4 day special military operation has gone on. Meanwhile Russia has just about exhausted their stockpiles and their economy is only getting worse. Why would they opt for appeasement now?
English

@BryceMLipscomb ukraine will lose 25% of their territory while “winning” even tho they could’ve kept all their land if they just respected their russian citizens rights. karma is a bitch for western ukrainians. hope they got a kick out of terrorizing russians bc the donbas and crimea is gone now
English

@jdvelex @BryceMLipscomb Except that picture is not the current front lines. And with their big phony annexation vote Putin can't be seen admitting he doesn't actually control the territory he claimed he does.
English

@BryceMLipscomb As an American I’m on the side of Trump, Rubio, and Vance - just redraw the border lines based on the current frontlines. That’s a fair peace. Islamic aggression is on the rise in Europe. That’s the White man’s bigger threat right now.
English

@BryceMLipscomb That's not where the actual front lines are. The real portion Russia actually controls is smaller.
English

@spotleop5imat @JeremyHarrises @IuliiaMendel "Taken back" is an interesting way to phrase actions of an invader. From what I understand, the Ukrainians are wary of appeasement as it historically has not worked.
English

@JeremyHarrises @IuliiaMendel Sorry for intruding. The proposal is to give up Donbas and be done with it. It will be taken back one way or another. Thinking that wasting time and harming Russia is a fatal mistake. Because in that time, you could purge the thieves in power and quickly begin building a 👇
English

When diplomacy is silent, more Ukrainians die.
We have succeeded only in removing the sole influential actor who could have mediated the negotiations. We opted to lie — both to the media and to ourselves. The reality is simple: no one would accept the hardships ordinary Ukrainians now endure just to applaud the lofty slogans.
English

@bluesmusic70 @TatooineSons And replaced with what? Ep 9 is just a different version of the horrible clone arc the old EU actually did. It was a real mixed bag that EU, for every Rogue Squadron series you got pain parades like the Yuuzhan Vong war.
English

@Giantnerd14 @TatooineSons Which is why I'm hoping this movie fails miserably. Followed by another massive embarrassment when Starfighter bombs. At some point the Disney shareholders will want the sequels erased. Money is the only way they fix Kennedy's disaster.
English

Star Wars fanboy logic on ratings…
The Last Jedi = 91% on Rotten Tomatoes:
“You can’t take these critics seriously! They’re just shills being paid to say they liked the movie!”
The Mandalorian and Grogu = 60% on Rotten Tomatoes:
“See! This movie is terrible! Star Wars is dead! Nobody is going to like this movie!”

@bluesmusic70 @TatooineSons So he would be killed or turn Sith when Ben Solo burns down Luke's school in a few more years?
English

@TatooineSons It's just another kick in the dick for OT fans. Grogu should have stayed with Luke. Im so excited to see this movie fail miserably
English

@noborutakedaDH @HasanabiProd Based on how often I see him in the news these days it seems like everyone is afraid of Hasan. He might have more media clout than he ever has before.

@HasanabiProd Hasan lost a debate to Ethan Klein, no one is afraid of him.
