A man woke up a little after midnight with the urge to urinate. He turned on the lights of his bedroom and stepped into the toilet. On his way back, he encountered a rat. The rat's fur was as black as charcoal and its whiskers twitched as it stared boldly at the man with tiny beady eyes. “Shuu!” the man cried, waving his hands in a bid to scare off the rat. But the rat didn't even as much as flinch. It kept a steady, calm gaze on the man, totally unperturbed by his presence. The man took a tentative step back and was about to pick up a broom to chase off the rat, when it began scurrying towards him. As he watched, it grew bigger in size and bared its sharp teeth at him, eyes bloodshot and thirsty for flesh. The man turned, tried to run and tripped over as the rat closed in on him.

I find it frustrating when people claim they’ve sent me a message on WhatsApp, even though they know I don’t check it. Anyone who has my number is aware of this. I clearly say call me when I give it to you. It’s now starting to feel intentional, like information is being passed through a channel I’ve clearly said I don’t use, instead of simply calling me or sending an email. If it truly matters, you’ll reach me in a way I actually respond to. Honestly, I’m at the point where deleting WhatsApp altogether feels like the clearest solution, because anything genuinely important should come through a call or email.

I had surgery in my nose yesterday. Still recovering.

Our first born, my second mum, she is the best after the person that gave birth to me, I can even say she is better than my mum buh I know mum will always take first cuz she birthed me, buh my sister she knows absolutely everything wrong with me, she gets me, she makes me see things differently, she structures me, she basically nurture me cuz our parent were out there hustling for us, she was two weeks pregnant when she died cuz of malaria the hospital say, the plans I had for the baby men😭 I miss her everyday and there is no day that passes by that I don't pray for her. Rest in peace 🤍🕊️ Soffiyah. You made me who I am today and am so grateful for it May Allah grant you Al jannah firdaous Aamiin 🙏
