Now that, we have established without any doubt and ambiguity that the long standing propaganda about a purported IMF conditionality requiring quarterly increase in electricity Tariffs is a lie from the pit of hell. Let’s look at another important lie. According to the NDC, it is unheard off and the NPP was bad by having Utility tariff adjustment in the IMf agreement and then they go on to interpret the adjustment as increase. What they forget, is that, the NPP took office in 2017 by inheriting and IMF Program by the NDC. In the NDC inherited IMF which you can find attached, on page 44 paragraph 24, you can find quarterly utility tariffs adjustment which they call automatic adjustment. Though the NPP inherited an IMF Programme from the NDC in automatic utility tariffs adjustment, the NPP didn’t increase the tariffs in 2017 and rather went ahead to reduce the tariffs by 17.5% in 2018. This government is simply wicked and robbing the citizens with the kind of electricity tariffs the people are paying. We must force the government to reduce the tarrifs and halt any attempt at further increase at the end of 1st quarter 2026. #NdCScam #MahamaLies #MahaLiar
