@Gigaslick The point is a ton of these Tekken players claim to “quit” and “I’m done competing in Tekken 8!!”. They do their school girl knee jerk reaction and obnoxious tweets just to come back or keep playing. The game is getting better, but I’m sick of their circus act for likes.

@Jesandy1572 I played vs a jin yesterday, got heatsmashed to the wall - didn't get splat, won the oki and won the round. So better. That being said a lot of characters heat and core issues haven't been adressed yet so it will feel similar in those cases as prior to the patch.

@Capo_eirista Obv that's an option but that's not acceptable for the generic player who uses ingame features. A lot of this discussiklon would be moot if there was more clearcut transparency

@Gigaslick we can legit just ignore what the game shows and directly look at the code using the moveset viewer and what it labels every move as property wise and there are invincible attacks, crushing just means invincible to specific attacks during certain frames in certain states

so we’ve established that mid crushing exists but a mechanic specifically designed to crush mids doesn’t exist, which is true!
just because a mechanic doesn’t target mids, doesn’t mean mids aren’t encapsulated in the moves that wider crush mechanics target (pc/invincible). 🐵

people trying to tell me mid crushing doesn't exist in TEKKEN is crazy considering there are moves that are by design and coded within a specified range of frames to do just that.

@Capo_eirista a lot of tekken's discourse is an issue of the developers opaque framedata. We still have to datamine/lab whiff recovery, crushing frames, offaxis tracking/realignment. hitbox differences etc. In t8 were stances are core this is even more aggravating

@Capo_eirista when you look at it what the developers show us in terms of h/m/l it doesn't. I always held the stance that crouch = mids hit. having moves that recover into crouch or from crouch e.g. aop d doesn't mean they do not have an actual crushing state invisible to the players

@ScarworkTV @nkt_dreamer huh, no you got it wrong. in heat ch db4 guarantees the whole string of flappy kicks. outside only the first 2 hits are guaranteed. So it's not worse outside of heat and before it used to launch. Obviously 1st hit of flappy still ch launches BUT not from db4 or fla jab

under no circumstance should ws1 crush hwoarang's delayed ff4, but it's getting tiring people knowing full well they're delaying options to fabricate a scenario.
this is actually a punish on escape parry meaning he hasn't recovered yet, why are we delaying ff4.

@Capo_eirista I seen it go over my ak ff4 as well or hei df4. I don't mind getting punished for not dashing in enough but imo I don't see why it should be like that if I do the correct punish. I accept it recovering in crouch - nothing wrong with that but at least let me get my mid punish

@Gigaslick i believe it’s actually the ws1 hurtbox on activation and not the recovery of escape parry, if you do anything else he gets hit so it’s actually ws1 hurtbox that needs adjusting for less evasion.

@Keenansthoughts functions like a shove from ak/king. Doesn't deal damage on its own and can't kill but leads to a guaranteed follow up on ch. Not a parry indeed

Guys, Victor b+2 is NOT a parry! It doesn't parry anything! Saying it's a parry is like saying Yoshi flash is a parry. I'm tired of repeating myself. Jeez!

@313_Footwurk as much as I agree that ranked has gotten easier, ppl play differently and learn differently. Some even take breaks and come back now that tekken is a bit more balanced. There is nothing wrong with celebrating an achievement. Let ppl enjoy their moment...

I hate to be this guy but, if you couldn't get GOD 0 in S1, S2, S2.5 and you're just now getting GOD and your bragging like its an achievement. Stop it.... I get it but ranked was made significantly easier for the ppl who were gatekept in a already easier ranked. You still suck

It's certainly a few steps forward, but there is a mountain left to traverse before "true release".
I initially made a Patch when I quit #TEKKEN8 in S2 in collaboration with other European high level players, now they are "listening", it's time to drop it:

TEKKEN 8 is the first TEKKEN game to not first go to arcades, which is where game balance and changes were widely tested. This new patch that everyone seems to love is basically the true release of TEKKEN 8. It just took some time. Hopefully sales and more improve now.

@overflowyouknow I agree they just make it easier to pickup a character and also threaten to disrespect in frametight scenarios easier. Imagine they made shove (i9 startup) ff1+2 compared to ffn1+2. how insanely broken that would be cause you could buffer it to i10 now, right now it's i12~i13

All bad changes. I mean convient but eh. Even during the beta every character had unique heat smash inputs then it was made universal. Devil Jin's shackle used to be f1+4 then it was made uf1. Azucena's uf3+4 was made easier from ff3+4. The list is endless and quite stupid. Some attacks were balanced (sometimes) because of the additional input needed.
