Idk the only things I ever demanded from Founding Entities as ADA holder was transparency and accountability, instead they spat in my face. So far I see Charldemort trying to dissuade businesses from building on Cardano, by destroying the ones that decided to build here over some petty disagreements… His speeches (whenever he is in calm non-emotional state of mind) are great, however with his decisions and behaviours he convinced me to sell all my ADA.

I feel like there is so much noise in the Cardano ecosystem we've forgotten why we came here in the first place. What are we trying to do? Who is Cardano's end-user, and what are we doing to bring them here? I come from a world of entrepreneurs - my father built a small but nationally-recognized brand, and I watched him do it, from nothing. My fathers business survived against all odds, because he created a product people wanted and he went out and he found customers to buy that product. And because those customers liked his product, they became repeat customers. He had no Treasury to sustain him. He had nothing but his work ethic and his hunger. I'm growing very tired of the entire timeline being about the Treasury, and who is getting what, and who is mad because they were denied, or mad that their favorite project didn't get their proposal approved. If that's truly our focus, we are on a fast-moving train to nowhere. I applaud every single builder and project who is out there grinding every day to bring users here. Users are the only way Cardano can survive. The Treasury cannot save us and we are not owed a single thing, we have to earn it.

a couple of people from the cardano community reached out asking why i haven’t commented on the recent governance dispute involving charles the answer is simple cardano’s decentralized governance exists so everyone has the opportunity to have their say regardless of who they are, the size of their platform, or their reach it also means everyone has the right not to participate if they choose not to the discussions over the last week have been productive, necessary, and ultimately healthy for the continued development of the ecosystem and through all of it, i remain insanely bullish on cardano its future, its governance, and the strength of this community i’m also bullish on charles hoskinson, his leadership, and his continued innovation that is all (and no i wasn't paid to say this, i have been a part of this community for 5 years)

After reflecting deeply on this governance process, a few things are clearer to me than ever. Cardano is alive. The community is engaged. And that matters more than any single vote. But this process has shown me something important: Cardano's governance is real. You are not passive holders. You are owners. That is exactly what we built this for. It has also reminded me that when Cardano has needed it most, the Pentad delivered. IOG, EMURGO, the Cardano Foundation, Midnight Foundation, and Intersect have proven they can coordinate and bring critical integrations to life when the ecosystem needed it. That coordination layer matters now more than ever. So let me show up the way I should. I will be in Singapore for the Cardano Summit and I will be on stage. I am also personally committing to partially top up our Token2049 sponsorship to Title level. Being on that main stage is where Cardano and Midnight need to be heard. To the Pentad, I am inviting all of you to sit down and have a real conversation about the future of governance and how we formalise this coordination going forward. Imagine a network with a schedule of shows related to the Cardano and adjacent ecosystems. A daily schedule. A live stream every voting season with all of the Dreps able to debate their claims related to the latest proposals and why they support or dont support them. Face to Face interviews with real builders not just showing off what they built, but how viewers can use their products, or build their own. Entertainment, value, guides, education. Think, G4TV, Attack of the Show but for the Cardano Ecosystem. This is what we need and if the community were interested in supporting it, I believe I could make it happen.

Let me remind the community again before yall think I’m just being mean or placing undue blame/weight on him: - Nico is the acting Governance Lead for @Cardano_CF, so paid salary at CF - Nico is also the Civics Committee Lead for @IntersectMBO, so paid a stipend/salary there - Nico is ALSO and MOST IMPORTANTLY a seat holder on the @IntersectMBO Budget Committee (ya know, the people that run the budget), there is a stipend for that work too - And Nico is a Constitutional Committee Member, thankfully that one isn’t paid But if yall didn’t notice; the Budget Committee doesn’t know how much their own overhead is…

I genuinely feel for posts like this because, reading it, what I mostly see is someone who bought into a vision and sacrificed heavily for it. But at some point people also have to confront the possibility that they were sold a dream that never matched reality. You put your life savings into Cardano because you believed it was building a better financial system and a genuinely decentralised future. Meanwhile, enormous amounts of value extracted from the ecosystem helped fund things like failed medical ventures, a ranch, a Black Hawk helicopter, woolly mammoth projects, and a founder lifestyle empire far removed from the average ADA holder's reality. And now the same founder who sold people that dream is effectively telling the community how it must vote, while asking for even more treasury funding to deliver things that arguably should have been delivered (or put into) an earlier roadmap eras in the first place, including now shifting major future narratives toward Midnight. That's why so many people feel psychologically broken by this moment. Not just because price went down, but because governance was supposed to finally prove Cardano belonged to the community! Instead, many are now realising how little leverage the community may actually have, even if it collectively holds the majority of ADA, because the crucial infrastructure and implementation capacity remain deeply dependent on IOG. And history strongly suggests that if Charles doesn't get the outcome he wants, there will be no smooth handover of knowledge, momentum, implementation pathways or Twitter handles (see Ethereum Classic). The Leios work, the expertise, the internal coordination - all of that effectively remains under IOG's control. So yes, like i said, people are beginning to realise that voting power can become somewhat symbolic if treasury extraction and core infrastructure remain structurally dominated by founding entities that may not even need to hold significant ADA themselves to maintain influence.

I bought Ada in 2020 and all the way through the bull run, even after ATH. Bought NFTs, supported projects, rarely sold anything Cardano related to this day. I cashed out my life savings in 2023, during the last bear lows, and put most of it in to Cardano. I have worked to build in this ecosystem without a salary for 3 years now. I have put my own ADA up for payrolls to ensure our employees get paid. I have sacrificed everything to be here. I have always believed in Cardano. I have shown up every single day for the last 5 years. That’s why I won’t sit here quietly and watch it all burn down around me. That’s why I won’t sit around and watch the people who have lived comfortably, making none of the sacrifices I did, continue to strong arm governance because their payday is running out. Yet I see dReps and CEOs attacking the community for how they vote. Is this really what we signed up for? Governance was supposed to be our chance as a community to have a real voice and it’s being completely diminished by propaganda and bullies. Attacking people on the timeline because of how they voted is just pathetic and not the governance I signed up for I helped conceive. The system was finally showing signs of strength, pushing back against expenditures, forcing accountability from previous years, and ushering in a new era of Cardano, where the community fully decides. Unfortunately that is clearly not the reality. A few dReps hold all the power, most have their hands in or around the FEs. It’s ok. I am not as mad at the centralization of voting power. I’m mad because we aren’t being listened to. Asking for basic stuff to make an educated decision, or have fiscal clarity, is not FUD, it’s called being responsible. We should hold everyone equally accountable at this point. There should be no varying standards. And I mean this socially as well. I hope people really take a long look at where we are, how we got here, and what’s currently going on before they continue to vote. We have about half the NCL left, let’s make sure to use it extremely wisely. We can’t afford to miss. Happy Sunday!
