Well we are leaving Japan with a pissed off Ying. Her li-ion battery hair straightener was confiscated. We have traveled through dozens of countries and airports with it in her carry on luggage (as you are required to do). 1/2

Some sections of the Great Wall of China are really steep. I imagined all the works struggling up here with their rocks, then the soldiers with weapons and armor running up and down! Tough people, a horrible life I imagine.

Exactly 2 years ago we found our place on Earth and since then we've spent in the area 1+ year 💙 (huge thanks to the host who canceled our reservation & we had to look quickly for available places wherever) But we still have to agree on how to move there permanently 😂

Last Tuesday morning, take-off from the dirt track airstrip in the 287-soul frontier outpost Paulatuk, and landing at Inuvik (3,127 residents) airport. Jordan, our first officer, on the right, and I later on got to chat a bit at the Inuvik baggage carousel. What a cool job to have as a pilot in the High Arctic. (S) #nwpexpedition #oceanrowing
