@MattEurich Don't disagree with any of that, and believe there were indicators that some of the key traits needed to be a successful QB he didn't demonstrate consistently. But I appreciate what he tried to do for the city, and acknowledge the team had abjectly horrible coaching and talent.

Justin Fields and the Bears won 10 games with him as a starter in 3 seasons. He didn't have the best situation around him but it isn't like he has lit it up anywhere else. He wasn't that good in Chicago. Plain and simple.

@MattEurich Because we can appreciate what he did for the team and the city. And because having love for Fields and wanting him to succeed and love for Caleb don't have to be mutually exclusive. Most importantly, I think most fans realize Fields was not set up to succeed with the Bears.

.@ConorOrr understands why the Chargers referenced Mike Vrabel in their schedule video, but he says now is the time for the NFL world to move on from this story si.com/nfl/time-nfl-w…

@dabearsblog But making this game one tells me the league is completely unbothered by the controversy with Vrabel now...or feels it will be dead in a few months
English

@jaredsmithbets They have to tell the whole story. All of it. To make all the drip of information coming o it every week moot.
English

This story isn't going away until 1 of 2 things happen:
1) Russini does an interview or podcast
2) Vrabel is fired, resigns, or takes some kind of public accountability
I bet there are a lot of other coaches around the NFL hoping #1 never happens

@okmaher @DENAirport I’ve never understood why they didn’t design the Denver airport with underground walkways between the concourses. Atlanta has them and it’s great. If you have extra time you can walk and you never have this issue of large crowds stuck waiting for the train.
English

Hundreds of people stuck at concourse A trying to get on the train to the other concourses after being required to walk to A to access to the rest of the airport. People missing flights and panicking. @DENAirport

@burackbobby_ Gotta be more pictures. Worse ones. That I'm guessing will drop Thursday or Friday.

There has to be more to this story. Why does Vrabel have to attend counseling on a Saturday/the third and final day of draft? Why couldn’t he do it on Monday?
If it’s so urgent that he needs an appointment, why is he able to be with the team the first two days of ten draft?

@GODDESS625 @MurrayHillGuy1 But she wasn't honest at all. She was dating someone the entire time and didn't tell him. Unless she told him that, she was being intentionally deceptive. With that said, she didn't owe him a thing.

@situationbears Will they generate as much revenue as they would in IL on non-Bears programming? Will the property tax savings exceed what they would have generated from the events outside of the Bears games
English

@NMAsiaPac @ProFootballTalk @benjstrauss @nypost @nytimes This. She could have even admitted it after the fact, now the coverup is her undoing. Before the fact, she could have acknowledged a personal relationship (romantic or not) and it be a non issue (she just wouldn't have been able to report on him or adjacent topics)
English

Via @benjstrauss, Dianna Russini and Mike Vrabel "coordinated" over how to respond to the looming publication of photographs by the @nypost. nbcsports.com/nfl/profootbal…

@Kameron_Hay At what point is it ok to consider the things a person does and/or says in our assessment of that person?
The multiple instances of reckless driving around Charlotte
Coming to press conferences with shorts hanging off his ass
Injuring a player with a dirt play
He did it.
English

@BobbyBooshay713 Unless there were other comments I didn't see, the double standard @jemelehill flagged wasn't between Russini and Vrabel, but Russini and how male journalists would be treated if outed for ethically questionable relationships.
English

@steveylike @DMRussini Feels like a more appropriate comparison would be Mike Vrabel to Ime Udoka, who will definitely survive this. Russini will not. The professional ethical violation is too clear and far to great for her employer, who is in the journalism business, to ignore.
English

@DMRussini If Ime Udoka can survive his scandal, Dianna Russini will survive hers. It happens. Doesn’t make her bad at her job. And none of our business tbh.
English

@eastbaycitizen True of false re Swalwell, why are you waiting until now to say anything? You could have used the same platform you used to make the statements you're making now.
English

@michaelkvance @KalleSorbo It's just factually wrong. Make no mention of what happens with the commercial real estate bubble fully bursts.
English

@KalleSorbo Point 3 is a joke, our economy is crumbling and businesses are fleeing our state
English

@Thechat101 In a medium where they can choose the topics they discuss, their lack of understanding of the basics facts of the story is astonishing.

Do y’all remember 3 months ago when every reporter was angry and bringing up journalistic integrity when Lynn Jones told Liam Cohen to keep his head up after a playoff loss?
