One of the most important evolutionary thinkers since Darwin. His three main papers (a burst of genious within 3 years) have had a huge impact on how we understand evolution and impacted my field of evolutionary psychology greatly.

Schools are not designed for our evolved psychology. Lack of free play, having to sit on a chair for hours, not mixing with different age groups (which can foster learning)-all are evolutionary mismatches. psychologytoday.com/us/blog/darwin…

@miriammartinho @Giligg This is correct but the important questions concern the relationship between gender and sex. Are gender norms totally arbitrary constructions placed on the sexes, or are some gender norms the result (in part) of biological differences?

@psiconstructiva Is completey a different question. For what it worth, many of the sex stereotypes are true but evolution doesn't justify anything, it's just is (the naturalistic fallacy). I think you will benefit from reading @SteveStuWill blog and his upcoming book on the topic.

@psiconstructiva I don't think you reprenst the evolutionary argument correctly. The question is empirical. Do men and women differ, and is this difference due to at least some extent evolutionary causes? Thje answer is unequivocally true. Whether these differences justify or promote sterotypes
