I'm not opposed to the idea, but want someone that UNDERSTANDS Sonic if that makes sense.

Don't know if this is a hot take or not, but I sincerely believe there needs to be more Sonic games developed by Western Studios.

takes like this confuse me because historically speaking, they've all been either extremely bad, or heavily handled by Sonic Team (Sonic R, Sonic 3D Blast).
This idea that Sonic Team is incompetent irks me, especially given their working conditions

@Tj_every_thing @SteveQ392 The same can apply to the examples you provided. Naka threatened to quit Sega if STI used the Nights engine for Xtreme (which wouldve helped the team) and Sonic Boom was mandated to be a Wii U exclusive when it was never meant to be on the Wii U.

They infact complained that Naka didnt let them do much due to the fact that they could barely understand each other
So using this as an example of why sega needs to be developed by western studios is flawed

@ZorroOnda Pretty much my thoughts. Sonic was made for western audiences, so there is serious potential in a game being developed by Westerners. There's certainly plenty of talent who are up for the task

Would be cool if they gave it to team who really gets the appeal of Sonic, specially considering Sonic Boom was made as a potential reboot endorsed by Sega themselves

They did fly over to America to work on it with some of the American side but most of the work was done by Sega of Japan employees

@sleeterbig I never really liked Frontiers. It plays like ass and is very bland to to look at. It's saying something that I got more satisfaction from Sonic Uptopia (a 5 minute fan demo)
