@J4YNET @KatieVickers31 @Nicolleflex @HM_Passport Fingers crossed it arrives soon. Don't understand why you need to have your old passport back. You can book a fast track appointment having lost a passport. Wish it was lost instead of being sent away 😭

@KatieVickers31 @GillDoc @Nicolleflex @HM_Passport I’m on day 12 of waiting for my documents to come back, called them this morning and basically it’s a waiting game, they tell you nothing on the phone. I fly 7th

@HM_Passport I applied on Friday as it is 4.5 wks till my holiday and I thought it was 3 wk wait. I have phoned today and told I can try and withdraw then get old passport back then do fast track. Has anyone done this as I’m worried it will then end up in no mans land thanks

Don’t book travel without a valid passport. Apply early, and apply online – it’s the easiest and cheapest way to get your British passport. Do it now at: gov.uk/renewpassport

@GillDoc @Nicolleflex @HM_Passport You have to send a letter, then wait for them to scan it, then send documents back (7-10 days) then book a app, then wait the week. So your looking 3 week for ‘fast track’ and there’s a few people saying day 9/10 on fast track and no passport :(

@GillDoc @HM_Passport You need to the old passport back unfortunately to be able to take it for the fast track appointment. Hope this helps xx

@jamapere @HM_Passport The process is you have to send them a letter to cancel and request the documents are returned , then you have to wait for them to do that which takes around two weeks then book a face to face ( if any are available ) and you should get a new passport seven day later
