I’m excited to speak on the CONNECTIONS stage for the keynote panel, “AI-Driven Growth: Solving the Smart Home Experience Gap”, on May 5 at 9:15 AM PT. CONNECTIONS™ is the premier connected home conference, bringing together leaders across the ecosystem to focus on business models, innovation, partnerships, and go-to-market strategies. Looking forward to the discussion on how AI can help close the experience gap in the smart home. Join @ADT and @ParksAssociates in Santa Clara, May 5–7: tinyurl.com/2t8ed8kc #smarthome #AI #IoT #CONNUS26 #WeAreADT

AI is not replacing SAP. It is making CIOs renegotiate power. FedEx using AI uncertainty as vendor leverage. EY vibe-coding customizations instead of buying them. Cisco replaced a software tool with an AI agent. Saved $5M/year. The build vs buy equation is resetting. The smart CIOs are not waiting for replacement. They are taking back control of their cost structure. wsj.com/tech/ai/compan…

AI agents are not starting at the edge of the enterprise. They are starting at the top. Zuck's personal AI layer to run Meta is a preview, not a curiosity. It breaks two things: the information brokerage role of middle layers, and decision latency. We're moving from "who controls the narrative" to "who executes against real-time context." Redesign how decisions get made. Or slow down relative to those who do. wsj.com/tech/ai/mark-z…

Bezos is raising $100B to buy manufacturers and automate them with AI. This is not just an investment story. It is a capital allocation shift. AI optimizing digital workflows → AI redesigning physical systems. The competitive boundary is no longer the app or the model. It is the system. Systems in the field are hard to displace. wsj.com/tech/jeff-bezo…

OpenAI consolidating into one enterprise superapp. The product move makes sense. The signal for enterprise buyers is bigger. Every AI vendor is moving toward full-stack consolidation. The interface you integrate today may not exist in the same form next quarter. Architect for portability and optionality. Not for today’s best product. wsj.com/tech/openai-pl…

The real challenge is not adding more AI into the stack. It is making the system work reliably end to end. That is where most smart home experiences still break down.

It has been such a privilege to partner with @HelloMinted at Sierra - creating an AI agent as personalized as their service and helping millions express themselves. Seeing all the personalized cards on our mantle is my favorite part of the holiday season

Everyone says they’re building a world model. Very few actually are. Most AI learns to see the world. A world model learns to predict what happens in it — specifically, what happens when people do things. That’s a different problem. Seeing is passive. Consequences require understanding cause and effect Any AI can learn to read a scene. A world model learns INTUITION about what changes it. @gen_intuition

Packy and I spent the past month unpacking world models from first principles. This piece is the result of that exploration. We go into why, what, how, and look out into the future on the implications of our work.

Companies go through phases of exploration and phases of refocus; both are critical. But when new bets start to work, like we're seeing now with Codex, it's very important to double down on them and avoid distractions. Really glad we're seizing this moment.

SCOOP - OpenAI is planning to simplify its product experience and launch one "superapp" -- part of its broader effort to instill more discipline and focus into the business, and beat back the threat posed by Anthropic more here in our @WSJ story wsj.com/tech/openai-pl…

AI has a bottleneck: energy. TerraPower just got approval to build a new nuclear reactor. This is not just climate. It is AI infrastructure. At scale, the constraint is not models or chips. It is power. You cannot scale AI without scaling energy. techcrunch.com/2026/03/06/bil…

The home router is becoming the home OS. Orange is turning the gateway into a platform: apps, local compute, orchestration. This is a control plane play. ISPs are moving from connectivity → ownership of the home. Collision with smart home and security players is inevitable. degrouptest.com/actualite/oran…

A copper mine in Utah is running autonomous operations today. Production, not a demo. AI is moving from digital systems to physical ones. Harder problems. Higher stakes. Bigger upside. Complex systems humans cannot fully optimize are now machine-driven. The frontier is physical. a16z.news/p/copper-one-t…

Nvidia networking: $11B last quarter. 267% YoY. The signal is clear. AI scaling is not just compute. It is data movement. Interconnect becomes a first-class constraint. Compute + networking = the real AI stack. Nvidia is building the full infrastructure layer. techcrunch.com/2026/03/18/nvi…

“Apps are going to disappear.” Directionally right. But the real shift is: Interface → intent Navigation → outcomes Agents compress workflows into a single request. The value moves down the stack: data, decisioning, integration. Apps become thin shells or disappear. techcrunch.com/2026/03/18/not…

The enterprise AI question is not open vs closed. It is architecture. Closed models: strong general capability Open models: domain control and customization The real problem is routing, integration, and security across both. Systems thinking > model choice wsj.com/cio-journal/co…

Jensen Huang: “Every company needs an OpenClaw strategy.” True. But the bottleneck is not adoption. It is control. Agents take actions, not just generate text. Which means failures are operational. The real challenge: identity, permissions, observability, rollback. Governance is the differentiator in 2026. wsj.com/cio-journal/nv…
