I'm surprised no public attempt was made to offload TVG to NYRA. From this vantage point would be a seamless integration.

@thestaggieman Just my opinion - the relevancy of the Preakness is strictly a function of the Derby. It’s just another nice graded stakes race without the Derby winner. Not saying it doesn’t matter. Just saying I think a lot of the fan appeal goes away if no triple crown chance.

@hhhracingpod I don’t think you had a triple crown winner with Golden Tempo so I can understand the move, but it’s horse racing so you never know until you run the race.

Disappointed but not surprised. The real shame of it is the raced appears to set up VERY well for a closer once again

Full disclosure for all you @TournamentsTS players + anyone else interested....I'm proud of the way I played the KDBC on Saturday...huge push in R1, and was in the Top 10 almost the entire tourney. #3 Asbury Park was a push in R11 that didn't work out, then went all-in on Chief Wallabee to win (or a Commandment/Wallabee exacta) to possibly win the whole damn thing. I ended up $0 in my bankroll, but leave with ZERO regrets....I was playing to win at all costs. Congrats to all the other competitors who cashed, it was super fun. @atTheTrack7 @KentuckyDerby

While I'm EXTREMELY HAPPY the Ky. Oaks drew a big increase in TV viewership, I can honestly say many fans I talked to at the track, along with horsemen and women, were not happy with the late start time. Some fans left before the Oaks (to go to dinner, enjoy their evening, etc...), and the ability to leave the track after the race was a nightmare as many of us couldn't get on the buses (long wait times) back to our cars until 10pm +. Then, had an early arrival the next day. Even worse for the trainers, just not ideal at all. I would suggest a compromise of 7:30 or 8pm EDT Oaks Post Time. Appropriate thoughts / comments are welcome. @KentuckyDerby
