you missing the point of these posts.
the goal is to create fear. fear in all other jobs that there work will be obsolete in a matter of a year. its to scare employees that they are gonna be gone in a year and should be happy with what they get now. its to scare investors that only AI is the industry to pour money into since all other industries will be gone.
its all a fear tactic, regardless if its true or not.

Microsoft PR team stop embarrassing the company, challenge level impossible
NeetCode@neetcode1
So he’s saying Microsoft will be dead? Idk why no one ever talks about the second order effects of anything

@GreenTextRepost @forskinquotes nice watch, do they come in men sizes?
English

@EmoFemKitty2 there was a computer science set of classes added. but through school mismanagement, they completely fucked it up.
English

@GingerCoderSham They were doing the same to us when I was in highschool I am 23 years old and they did add STEM tho but music and art classes were going away
English

i hate Gen AI. AI is so unreliable and its replacing us as a musician and some of my friends that can draw pretty good.
Matt Workman@mattworkman
most gamers and artists love Gen AI, this is just the loud minority
English

@EmoFemKitty2 as i was growing up (32 btw). I saw all the art programs and most extra programs start to be removed one by one. in favor of more 'core classes' for 'gifted and college focused' students
English

@GingerCoderSham My school had 1 art program that's it but yea they shouldn't of cut art at all
English

@SoraUnchained @1ssve if they are too incompetent to make this input field a float/double. they are also likely too incompetent to actually check if my GPA is 4.0 before the interview.

its doing exactly what they want it to do.
it gets investors who think all other sources of money will be gone in 18 months to invest in them now and `early`.
it tricks businesses into not hiring needed staff, thinking AI will replace them.
it puts the fear of missing out in all businesses.
it allows businesses to cut employees without suffering the consequences of stock deflation.
and last but not least, it gives employers a reason to lower wages, since your gonna be replaced next year anyway, we can have you temporarily.
English

AGI tommorrow. didn't you hear?
AGI, only a week away!
don't you know? AGI, only a month away.
haven't you heard? AGI, only a year way.
why are you concerned, AGI, only 2 years away.
you should prepare for it, AGI, only 3 years away.
you hate your job, and it won't need you, AGI, only 4 years away.......
honestly, we won't have AGI until we start growing human brains in jars or some actual equivalent, HALF of the marketing ploy is to give companies a fear of missing out. and the other half is to scare employees into a lower wage and businesses too scared to hire employees who will obsolete in 2 to 18 months. if it was just to replace workers, they wouldn't be so open about it. its to push down wages too. its why we have so many fake robot examples going on too.
even if AI does reduce the work load, which it so far has not in most cases, it just gives people with no skills the ability to shit on everyone. and a few skilled people to produce faster but at a higher cognitive debt then before. AI not even gonna be cheap, its a scam, from top to bottom. that we are ALL forced into now.

>18 months
when will they learn?

cooked is probably the wrong term. its fucking raw.
you should know what most/all your code is doing in a PR. your not an engineer if you don't understand whats its doing. I'd say you still need to know the fundamentals.
otherwise you get security flaws, and AI, as 'good' as it is, still misses critical stuff that static analysis will capture.
and not to give any one ideas, I'm suprised 'Tyler' didn't just ask Claude (or whatever he is using) 'why did you make these changes'. it give an explanation, (even if the reasons are trash).

@shitposts_mp4 I was thinking of the poor dogs in dusk in act 3.

@haydendevs this is why I use delivery fur missiles to deliver my encrypted mail.
they are loyal, can smell danger, and are faster too.
only downside is they can be tricked with treats.

@rizzle_xo I have heard being too old for movies and music unironically tho.
haven't heard too old to be 'watching' sports.

@Yd4Ro @kirawontmiss true true....
but the companies that run the AIs are.........
and all the utilities needed to run the AI's are also going up in price as well.

**AI turns out to cost more**
unusual_whales@unusual_whales
"AI can cost more than human workers now," per Axios

the infinite portal views still has two minor bugs to address, but those can be covered up for now.
it also won't work in compadability render (opengl mode). so I will need to think of something as a texture placeholder if I want to continue supporting older renderers.
one of the major optimizations I did was instead of using a depth buffer to create a discard atlas, I now use a small texture that is manually updated from the CPU every frame with floating quads of the near plane, and I discard pixels that would be too close to the camera based on that math. it does cut my rendering down by about half since I don't need a preframe. and allows me to do more tricks in the renderer, like above. since I changed how I handle camera culling.

@pablomoratinos even if AI could reduce workloads.... the problem is we are firing workers in mass. so all the work the other workers were doing are dumped on the remaining employees who are expected to use AI to fill the gaps.
English

@TheRealOguriCap lmao, ya.... I legit did fall asleep trying to watch this anime.

@BitcoinSapiens The value of cryptocurrency is also fake and made up by us.
