they expect you spend like 500 bucks for something 'maybe' decent.
AND, that's subsidized by investors in AI. we don't know the real cost of running these AI stuff.
I can certainly say the 2024 generators took alot of GPU power and a minute. I can't imagine what these larger models cost in computer power.

expensive yes. especially since AI is almost never what you want on the first draft, or even the 100rdth draft. and will give different results with the same prompt.
hard to obtain is more relative, its probably easier then hiring a video editor/creators which is what these companies are selling these products as. although the cheapest (and best option in my opinion) is to still do it yourself.
and seedance isn't the only one out there either. heck I'm like 90% sure I saw an adobe add for some AI gen vid now too. sora going down isn't enough to stop this AI slop.

if the AI can't be subsidized anymore because disney deal fell through, better to cut losses now rather then eat it for another year needlessly. so the company can hide the true cost of running these AI a bit longer.

Disney has cancelled their deal with OpenAI.

@StormslayerDev the demos they showed require 2 RTX 5090's to run. even if they find some way to optimize it slightly. its likely not gonna run on your average persons hardware. and will only be enthusists that even attempt to use it.

my first job, you had to work a full year to get one week time off for the next year. basically you get a week for every year you work there. up to 4.
also sick days are unpaid and expect a doctors note.
