We had to disable IPv6 for our services BTW because some users have such bad networking that they fail connecting when IPv6 is available. It's so over for v6.

@GingerGeek It’s weirdly the other way round here. On street Level 2 is $0.09/kWh and my home charger is about $0.14/kWh. Not complaining at either of those though!

I love my BMW i4. Great car, super practical, still has so much of that BMW magic… but Tesla still cleans up in terms of destination charging.
Waited a day to get the one non-Tesla space at our hotel and it’s a trickle charger.
Great distribution beats great product.

@jtahoyle @jackfifield It won’t quote railcard discounted fares for ineligible trips before 10am but tbh if I saw a train at 1010 magically cheaper and still an anytime day single, I’d probably have just gone for it and assumed all fine!

@jackfifield you do have to wonder why TOCs and ticketing platforms allow customers to apply railcards to those fares. I know the fare grid is a mess, but it’s not exactly a complex technical challenge.

Yes, I know that the man did not provide any mitigation, but this is still absolutely shocking. I would consider myself quite knowledgable on the UK rail network, and even I did not know that there was a £12 minimum fare before 10am for anytime tickets purchased with a railcard.

Here we go, this 26-year-old man was fined £462.30 at Cheshire Magistrates' in September after he bought an 'anytime' ticket and used it before 10am. @northernassist brought this case in a private prosecution. Their own app will tell you this ticket can be used any time of day.

unite students just told me to download a new app, got put in a groupchat for my (6-person) flat which has like 10 people and rising in it. turns out they've got a single group chat for all "flat 28"s in every single unite students accommodation in the country. great app design
