🆘🆘 SALEM (ID 252342), 3 YO, MALE– IN MANHATTAN ACC - came into the shelter as an owner surrender on 4/26/2026, with the surrender reason stated as person circumstance- eviction. 🆘🆘 😿 😿 😿 😿 ➡️TBD 5/14/26 ➡️ MEDICAL PRIORITY – NEEDS MORE CARE AND ATTENTION THAN THE SHELTER CAN PROVIDE – IN FELINE ICU😱😱😱 ➡️ TOO LOW ON PLEDGES TO STIMULATE RESCUE INTEREST ➡️🆘🆘 4TH Chance on Emergency Placement List – BEYOND URGENT - NO ROOM IN SHELTER – WILL NOT BE GIVEN MUCH MORE TIME – VERY HIGH EU/SILENT KILL RISK – 🆘🆘 😱🔥🔥😱 ➡️ 17 DAYS IN SHELTER – TOO LONG – TIME IS RUNNING OUT ➡️ SALEM IS ON THE EPL FOR MEDICAL REASONS - He is a young adult male neutered cat with a severe upper respiratory tract infection. He is a curious cat interested in pets and treats when he is feeling well. He is not eating and receiving medication through an esophageal feeding tube in shelter. He needs supportive care in a veterinary clinic to recover. NOT EATING/EATING ISSUES ARE A DEATH SENTENCE IN THE SHELTER. This evaluation/diagnosis means that SALEM will be given very little time for rescue/foster/adoption.🔥🔥🔥🔥 What my friends at ACC say about me: It is unknown if I have ever lived with other animals or children. I will flourish in a calm environment and a low-traffic home. I love to be loved, but on my own terms! Let's brush up on some feline body language together! My history is a mystery and my friends here do not know much about me yet! Salem tolerates attention and petting but appears to be moderately fearful or stressed in the shelter. #k9hour 2.8kg of blind Pomchi sweetness is looking for a home. Bella hasn't had the easiest start in life, but is looking for a patient home to carry on her training, she's doing brilliantly in her #York foster home. Bella was born blind so is very well adapted.
