U.S. INFLATION JUMPS AS IRAN WAR DRIVES UP GAS PRICES
U.S. inflation rose to 3.8% in April, higher than expected, as surging gas prices linked to the Iran war pushed up consumer costs.
Rising energy prices are also increasing transportation, food and manufacturing costs, raising fears that inflation could spread across the economy and further weaken consumer spending.
President Trump said he supports temporarily suspending the federal gas tax to ease pressure on drivers, with average gasoline prices climbing to about $4.50 a gallon from $3.14 a year ago.

He really just told DDG, "Kiss the ring, and I'll get you into the AP house."

BURRY: CUT TECH EXPOSURE AMID BUBBLE FEARS
Michael Burry warns markets are showing bubble-like signs driven by AI hype and momentum trading, urging investors to reduce tech stock exposure and “reject greed.”
He advises raising cash and avoiding aggressive bets like shorting, which he says is too risky and costly for most investors.
Burry, known for predicting the 2008 crash, says current conditions resemble the late 1999–2000 dot-com bubble and sees tech valuations as stretched.
