So, Lot left Sodom with his wife and two daughters after the Lord told them the city was too sinful for their continued stay. While on the journey, the wife looked back, turned into a pillar of salt, but neither Lot nor the daughters bothered to look behind to find out why the wife (or mother) wasn't with them anymore. They continued with the journey as if nothing happened. Someone who was not part of the journey later wrote the story.
