Today marks halfway through 2026, so we're announcing the launch of the 50/50 Pledge! The pledge is simple: give half or more of your annual donations to high-impact nonprofits recommended by experts. Keep the rest for the causes that mean the most to you. Giving pledges typically focus on 𝘩𝘰𝘸 𝘮𝘶𝘤𝘩 you give. The 50/50 Pledge is about 𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 you give. Why? Because the most impactful charities can often do 100x more good per dollar than typical charities. For example, @EvidenceAction's Deworm the World program protects children from parasitic worm infections in low-income countries for under $0.50 per child. But most of us also care about supporting causes close to our hearts, like a local food bank or animal shelter. Giving Multiplier’s 50/50 Pledge strikes a balance between the "feel good" and "do good" of charitable giving, with a clear goal to work toward each year.
