Rewatching it last year having seen a lot of 70s mecha anime Gundam really does feel special. In fact what stood out most on this rewatch were the elements that felt too "70s" like the theme song, the white base having a pirate ship wheel, Zabi family's evil castle.

I don’t know much about anime that came before it, but Gundam is more advanced than one might expect for 1979. The way it handles character development ages very well. It deals with some serious and heavy subjects, and it makes you feel. I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s influenced reaches past just mecha, and it extends to many anime and manga that come after. I imagine it’s not the first like this, but I can certainly say it was ahead of it’s time.

@4milleforever I always forget that he pilots the Queen near the ending, I think Glemy uses other mobile suits too but the Bawoo is the one that I always associate with him (one of my faves too)

Mas granada? Depende. Esses kits "granadas" são ótimas oportunidades pra o builder melhorar ele. Claro, com experiência e gastando bem menos. Essa última longe da realidade do Brasil; mas ainda assim. Com um pouco de amor, todo kit é bom (foto nada a ver)

Só avisando, não é critica ao Cris (que aliás, é um maravilhoso). Mas o estrago que a dublagem americana fez de transformar Digimental em Digi-egg é grande. Acho tão feito quanto chamar Omegamon de Omnimon.
