If there’s an issue with what Caballero is doing, show me in the rulebook where. As long as he’s engaged with the pitcher with at least 8 seconds on the clock, then he’s not doing anything wrong and the umpires are completely out of line here.
If the league has an issue with what Caballero is doing, they should rewrite the rulebook to stop it. Until then, everyone should stop whining.
All he’s doing is trying to use the rules to his advantage. Nothing wrong with that.

Anyone claiming this aged poorly is vastly underrating the feat of winning a championship as a first option. Only 5 different players did it 2012-2022, + Jokic Tatum & Shai since then. Brunson can’t do it, and it’s so difficult that he shouldn’t even be held to that standard

I have never, in my life, seen a series-long choke like what the Spurs just did. They broke down in almost every big moment. Pretty much the entire team was visibly petrified in the clutch. Chalk it up to youth or inexperience but that was an insane thing to witness.

Crazy hypothetical:
If Mitch Robinson were to ever get fouled in the final seconds of the game, he could say he is too injured to shoot the Free Throws.
Mitch couldn't return to the game, and the other team could choose any Knicks player to shoot... but that would be a win.
