@theiaincameron It's quite close to *a* cliff, but not the one it will go off. The second photo in my post is basically from the spot it will eventually go into the ocean, if you look on top of the hill in the distance you can just about see the globe, so it's a few hundred meters away for now

It is estimated that the Orbis et Globus will run out of land in 2047, meaning that Iceland will no longer be an Arctic country (well, at least until the Earth's axis moves back again). Whether the ball is pushed into the sea or is left at the edge is not currently known... /4/4

At present, all five Nordic countries straddle the Arctic circle (Norway, Sweden, Finland, Denmark (via Greenland), and Iceland). However, Iceland is just clinging on, and in the near-future it will lose its place in that list altogether. 1/4

@OnDisasters Seen the two OSRL 727s many times (unsurprising considering I fly from Lasham)

B-727 landing in Lasham (Hampshire, England) in late 2025. This jet is used by Oil Spill Response Limited (OSRL), operated by 2Excel Aviation, a specialized aerial dispersant aircraft designed to spray oil spills. 📹fab.planespotting (IG)

@Rachel_A_P_ They used to be £30 in 2023😭 During the week they're a bit cheaper (£39.50), and I still think they're definitely worth it if you get a good seat (e.g. front row, which I have got quite a few times) but it stings having to pay so much for day seats tbh

@PilotRobbie We need some sort of tool that removes fog from the runway. You know, something like the staff of Moses but instead of the Red Sea it's the RVR

@avgasaddiction Loved the views out of Dulles last year, and that terminal is easily the prettiest I've seen
