PANCREATIC "Solid Pseudopapillary Neoplasm" (SPN) is hard to distinguish from a "Neuroendocrine Tumor" in the absence of the characteristic branching vascular patterns (as seen here). IHCs are always needed. In my experience, FNA shows the classic vascularity in 9/10 SPNs.

✍️📚 FNA of medullary Thyroid Carcinoma: 🔬Cells can show a variety of shapes: round, polygonal, plasmacytoid, and spindle 🧿INCIs mimicking papillary thyroid Ca 🍒Binucleation is common. Multinucleation can be seen 🫐 🔓Immnunoreactivity for Calcitonin (on smear) #pathresidents
