Paraguay has reached a historic milestone: investment-grade ratings from Moody’s and S&P. The question now is whether it can preserve and build on that momentum. In a new report released today, Global Americans and CAF – Development Bank of Latin America and the Caribbean examine the structural reforms, fiscal discipline, and institutional credibility that enabled Paraguay’s upgrades, as well as the policy priorities required to sustain them. At a time when several regional peers face economic volatility and rating downgrades, Paraguay’s trajectory stands out. But maintaining investor confidence will require continued reform, institutional strengthening, and prudent macroeconomic management. “Preserving the Momentum: Building on Paraguay’s Investment Grade Ratings” is now available on our website. Long regarded as a democratic reference point in a volatile subregion, Costa Rica’s political trajectory intersects with regional security, migration, and U.S.–Central America relations at a critical moment. Our latest analysis examines what changed, what endured, and why this election matters beyond Costa Rica itself. 🔗 Read the full piece by Jean Marco Pou Fernández. buff.ly/BpdV6ES
