💥 UPDATE: Between 4:15–4:28 AM in Iran, widespread explosions were reported across Tehran and surrounding areas. Blasts were logged in Tarasht and Navab (west), Qolhak (north), and across east Tehran, with additional strikes reported along the Damavand–Gilavand corridor northeast of the capital, as well as Karaj and Mehrshahr to the west, Pardis to the east, and Arak to the southwest. Sources described shattered windows, homes shaking from the at least one of the blasts, jets overhead, and intense air defense activity. Reports indicate over 15 strikes in Pardis alone, nearly 30 red flashes in east Tehran, and continuous impacts leading up to dawn. Stay connected, follow @MOSSADil.

NEW: U.S. President Donald Trump is seeking to lower the profile of his mass deportation effort, and has directed his top advisers to adopt a new approach on one of his central campaign promises, WSJ reported on Thursday night. In conversations with top advisers and his wife Melania, Trump has become convinced that some of his administration’s deportation policies have gone too far, and voters don’t like the term “mass deportation.” The president has told them he wants to see more attention on arresting “bad guys” and less chaos in American cities. At this time, there is no official word from the Trump administration on the Wall Street Journal report.

Today, the U.S. State Department released a number of congressional notifications for foreign military sales (FMS) to Gulf nations totaling $16.5 billion. The nations in question include Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, and Kuwait. FMS to the UAE includes, Advanced Medium-Range Air-to-Air Missiles (AMRAAMs), F-16 munitions and upgrades, Long-Range Discrimination Radar with Terminal High Altitude Area Defense Integration, Fixed Site-Low, Slow, Small Unmanned Aircraft Integrated Defeat System (FS-LIDS), and additional supplementary equipment. FMS to Kuwait includes Lower Tier Air and missile defense sensor radars. FMS to Jordan includes aircraft repair and ordnance support.
