It reached a maximum of 28.5° in Kilkenny today. Our warmest May day on record. (Beats our old record from 2012 by +2.2°). This also beats the old Irish May record from 1997. However there are reports of even higher values at other stations (e.g. Shannon Airport 28.6°).
