I mean how does a QB throw the ball as many times as it takes to get to 5k yards because his coach will let him and still not be among the league leaders in deep pass attempts? Brees would’ve thrown the ball 1200 tikes a season if thats what it took to get to that 5k. He is the goat, at stat padding, and that extends to his completion percentage “record” as well.

Who is the worst QB in this picture?

It isn’t at all invalid due the fact that he didn’t throw deep anywhere near as often as Rodgers, despite having like 2k more passing attempts in his career. He padded his completion percentage on short passes and everyone knows it. I’m not even saying theres anything wrong with that, I’m just saying thats why completion percentage is shit indicator of how accurate a qb is that only a box score watcher would use

Rodgers through more of them, around 10% of Brees’ career attempts vs like 15% for Rodgers. Obviously his completion percentage, something once again I have already indicated I dont care about, will be lower. Yet he had a significantly better passer rating and a higher cpoe on those passes. Brees only threw them to guys who were wide open and not very often. Rodgers passes made his guys open. Jus because Brees wasn’t willing or able to take the chances Rodgers was doesn’t make him more accurate lmfao

A “deep ball” in the NFL is defined as a pass that travels 20+ yards through the air. Rodgers isn’t even top 3 in that category and falls in the 35-40% range.. he only wins at TD/INT ratio.

I mean Joe Burrow has the highest completion percentage of all time so by your logic is he the most accurate qb? Everyone knows that Rodgers is more accurate than Brees, in his prime he could make every single throw at every level of the field off of any platform with elite placement like no one else ever has.
