#Ai #Energy #Infrastructure 🧶 yarn pull… This clearly points to a critical issue in AI industry: the transition from a software/chip bottleneck (GPUs) to a physical infrastructure bottleneck (power and grid equipment). Transformers are essential for stepping down high-voltage electricity from the grid to the lower voltages required by data center server racks. The surge in lead times from 40 weeks to over 3 years is driven by an over 100% increase in transformer demand since 2019, coupled with shortages of skilled labor and raw materials. As of January 2026, the United States faces a 30% shortfall in power transformers, forcing "certain hyperscalers" to seek behind-the-meter solutions (power generation that happens on the same site as the data center, bypassing the multi-year wait for a utility grid connection). The following are tickers that align with our thesis in Sustainable Infrastructure and Future Tech; we that they will continue to benefit from this infrastructure bottleneck.

Elon Musk says voltage transformer shortage is the main bottleneck for scaling AI now. Transformer lead times have stretched from 40 weeks pre-pandemic to 2.5-3 years now, so grid connection wait times have also jumped to years. For planned data centers, on-site generation and behind-the-meter arrangements are the only options to come online under two years. Independent power producers and electrification enablers will be the obvious winners from this trend. $VST $TLN $NRG $SEI $ET $GEV

Bloomberg: “Private credit mangers are increasingly turning to … trading in and out of loans to dump troubled assets and hunt for bargains.” But “troubled assets” have recently been touted as “the opportunity”. And what “bargains” are out there that are not “troubled”?

Semi mania is getting a second wind. $SOXL Direxion Daily Semiconductor Bull 3X ETF is rallying again on Iran peace hopes. But here's the setup most investors are missing: Low liquidity + long weekend + potential Iran deal = fuel for a vicious short squeeze. That can send semis much higher than anyone expects. Nvidia's new $1.00 annual dividend now sits right next to Apple ($1.08) and above Alphabet ($0.88) in the mega cap payouts. Even after the jump from $0.04, $NVDA's yield is just 0.45%. Mega cap investors aren't here for income, they're here for growth. h/t @HumOnTheMarkets
