@mnmmeansmore I completely agree but I swear to my life that when I was growing up, my religion teachers in Iran were spewing shit like this to me. One of them even went further to say a clean shave for men is makruh, with a similar reasoning, he was even citing a marja.

Basically if you make yourself look better with the express intention of being more attractive then its a sin
