@VermonsterWx That’s how I do mine too, but my highest measurement in a shaded area is 17.5”. Good job!

I cored the snow pack and measured its liquid content. The result is 9.37” of water in 31.5” of snow at the sample location. At least some of this will make its way to the Deerfield and Connecticut Rivers. Hopefully, not too fast or with a lot of rain. Snow can be walked on.

Still can’t get over these pictures from my mother in Middleboro MA! Growing up there, I’ve never seen snow up to the front porch! My sister said the wind / snow damage on Cape Cod is extensive! Trees and power lines down all over her neighborhood. She’s been without power for 36 hours and counting.

Mother ( Rhonda) killed, son ( Aidan) killed in yellow, son in green was on the ice. I spoke with best friend of Aidan, who told me he was math genius, became an engineer, was sitting with his fiancé at the game. Aidan jumped up to try and protect his mom, and was killed by his father.
