GOAT 🐐
@GoatsIncrisis
Too blessed to be stressed, but still in crisis All animals, follow me. Let's be a big family as long as you don't eat my meat. I also have a family to feed.

As President, I would read 10 letters a day sent to me by ordinary Americans. At the Obama Presidential Center, we’ll have some of the letters I read — and responded to — every night. I still get emotional reading them, and it’s one of my favorite exhibits.

Today on #MadarakaDay, some Gen Zs asked me why they are young but have heavy potbellies, even though they don't eat much like us millennials. I had to do some research and help them because they are definitely pregnant with belly fat in their late teens. These tips might help you, too: 🚨SUPERMARKET/SHOP STAPLES TO LIMIT Mandazi and mahamri (deep-fried, lots of sugar and white flour) White bread (Elliot's, Festive, etc.) — stripped of fibre Margarine (Blue Band) — often high in unhealthy fats Packet juices and sodas — Minute Maid, Fruita Vitaa, Fanta, Coca-Cola, all loaded with sugar Packaged biscuits and cookies — Digestive, Cream Crackers, Candy biscuits 🚨ROADSIDE/FAST FOOD Chips (fries) — especially with kachumbari, but cooked in reused oil Smokies and sausages from the smokie cart — highly processed meat Mutura in excess, especially the commercial kind with fillers Instant noodles (Indomie) — popular but high in sodium and refined carbs 🚨HOUSEHOLD COOKING HABITS Ugali made from over-refined unga — the super-white maize flour has less fibre than the less-processed type Cooking with too much salad or other solid fats Heavily sugared chai, drunk multiple times. 💚 INSTEAD, ADD THESE TO YOUR SAFE LIST Arrow roots, sweet potatoes, cassava — great local alternatives to white carbs Githeri, beans, and lentils — cheap, filling, high in fibre and protein Mursik (fermented milk) — a great probiotic, in moderation Sukuma wiki and other local greens — eat more of these freely.
