I know the majority of people are probably going to say this is a "bad take"....but it's clearly a wide open lay up until a guy who was on the ground while I'm mid layup decided to jump... this is the type of stuff I'm talking about when I say paint defense needs to be more precise. If this gets blocked cleanly, I'm totally fine with it. But in order for this defender to jump and "contest" me he literally had to foul me in the process. But 2K does not call these fouls for whatever reason. Watch anyone contest a layup in the NBA, they don't jump into the shooter...they either jump straight up or away. No ones flying from across the other side jumping into the shooter without a foul call. Layup finishing would be way more realistic if actual fouls were called and paint defense would be more skill based. Sure, it may result in more free throws...but that's a part of the game. Slashers draw fouls..and this would stop players from unrealistically jumping at EVERYTHING going to the rack regardless of positioning. Whistle needs to come back as an elite finishing perk. 95+ Layup and Dunks should have it.

@BeLiKeDime I agree. Sometimes you just wanna play real basketball. Sure I can use the meta and abuse it, but it gets stale. This company in a bad place rn with the gameplay,community, and cheaters

Well we saw that they tried to fix the issue with that patch…that was like a quick fix they threw together…wasn’t perfect but they are aware and acknowledge that it’s an issue… I’m sure they’ll have an actual fix when 27 drops.

If im being 100% honest Fades did kind of get too nerfed. The game feels like 2k25 2.0 all over again. I feel like if i hit 2 fades in a row Wide Open, that If i was to take a 3rd one it would automatically be a miss. Its almost like they reintroduced RNG.

All the patch did was make the game like 2k25. All that was needed was buff defense & leave the offense alone. Arcade 2k that takes timing & stick skill = the greatest gameplay experience probably won 98% of my games since patch 2 & i’m tellin u it’s bad long term please @Beluba
