Good Morning Britain
A survey has revealed that 35% of Brits admit taking a glass home from the pub in the past year. Do you consider the theft of a pub glass a victimless crime?

Well the ongoing farce continues, I raised a complaint & was promised a callback in 3 working days, today is the third day, I’m not holding my breath, after the appalling levels of non service so far @StandardLifeUK

@LaraInCornwall @GMB The myth that pubs get glassware for free, they don’t seem to understand how much we spend to have glassware included! The public think it’s unfair that pubs should make money for some bizarre reason

@GobbyChef @GMB Imagine doing that in any other business that’s not a pub? It just wouldn’t fly. I don’t understand the mentality. It’s rough.

@LaraInCornwall @GMB Two bulbs out of the ladies loo lights my particular favourite, over the years had, pepper mills, crockery, large Colman’s English mustard off the pass, bottles of spirits, once a bloke tried to take a bar stool, when challenged he told me look how much I’ve put in your till!

@GMB People don’t just steal glasses. People steal salt & pepper shakers, cutlery, candle holders - you name it. It all adds cost to business, and it’s theft. I don’t know why in a pub it’s seen as socially acceptable? You wouldn’t just steal from other places, so why the pub?

How ironic that, in an attempt to be relatable, Mr McFadden admits that the restaurant where he was a dishwasher has “shut quite recently”. Labour is wilfully destroying hospo. This latest initiative is complete nonsense. How disappointing to see Tom Kerridge anywhere near this.
Department for Work and Pensions@DWPgovuk

"It’s an amazing scheme and I’m fully behind it" Tom Kerridge spoke to Work and Pensions Secretary Pat McFadden to discuss changes to the Youth Guarantee - including a foundation apprenticeship for the hospitality industry ow.ly/sT5050YuEnA

.@markgoldbridge: “I like Sesko.. but he's not an upgrade on Rasmus. He's not an upgrade on Rasmus at all. He might be the same, he might end up being better, but he's not an upgrade. He's just another learner driver who's not ready for that responsibility.”

Welsh farming parents have expressed dismay over the food their children are being served in schools. Local authorities across Wales in both urban and rural areas have been exposed for serving children school meals containing chicken meat from as far afield as Thailand, China and Brazil, following an investigation by the Countryside Alliance.

staying sober one day at a time
The most feared day in hospitality is among us, Mother’s Day where it feels like Moses has parted the Red Sea and the world and its mother (no pun intended!) descends upon us! I can still here the phone ringing now at 9 am & asking do we have a table of ten for midday @NikBoyle

⚠️ A social media influencer from Huddersfield has told her followers not to worry about fuel prices going up as £20 of fuel is still the same price! 😲 Bethany Johnson who regularly gives her followers savvy tips and tricks on how to save money has told her followers that she filled up today like normal and it still only cost her £20! 😲 Bethany 22, who has been driving for 4 years says she has filled up at the same petrol station since she passed her test and it has always cost her £20 when she has filled her car up with 20 pounds worth of petrol. "I think all the rumours about prices going up is just scaremongering from the government and the media. There's no need to panic." She said.
