Yesterday I visited King Charles at Buckingham Palace for a special event celebrating the 50th anniversary of The King's Trust.
At 24, The Prince's Trust gave me £1,000 which I used to buy my first DJ equipment. The big decision back then was whether to take £500 a week as a scaffolder or £60 a week as a self-employed DJ. I chose the music, and that was that ….the rest you know.
To come back all these years later, celebrating the Trust that helped me take those first steps and meeting King Charles at Buckingham Palace… that was something truly special.
What a beautiful day. ✊🎶

@pub_that @LaraInCornwall They have an ideological desire to tax anything pleasurable, they regard it as a luxury that they can tax for their ludicrous spending, most odd as most of them are individually very wealthy, as an aside do you pay the tax on a very expensive holiday home in Brighton?

@LaraInCornwall Blows my mind…surely holiday tax should be for people coming in from abroad. Makes no sense taxing British people who have already been taxed on the money they are spending!! Tax, tax, tax…it’s all this government knows!

@modernheroestv I’ve just ordered a different Chinese one, the spec is amazing & it’s on a very cheap 3 year lease, I suspect most people are getting these cars in a similar way, secondary market won’t affect them
