I’m not anti-advancement at all, I actually love the tech these Chinese cars are packing. Rotating screens, ADAS, future-proof features that make the 2025 Camry feel like yesterday’s phone. But here’s the Naija reality nobody in the video is showing you: You’re not buying the car in Beijing. You’re buying it in Lagos or Abuja. Spare parts? You’ll wait months and pay import prices. Mechanics who actually understand the electronics? Rare. One small knock on the road and that “cheap” 40M car starts looking very expensive in downtime. A close friend bought a Changan in 2024. Loved the car at first, months later the car is parked, he almost ran mad trying to fix one common issue that would’ve been sorted in 24 hours on a Camry or Honda. He switched to a foreign-used Honda CRV. No regrets. These cars are great… if we had the ecosystem to support them. Right now we don’t. If you have plenty money and have other cars that you use, please use your full chest and enjoy your life. Don’t use your life savings to buy “the future” and expect it to pity you with low maintenance costs in today’s Nigeria.

I'll just say thank you, pack my load and return to Nigeria with my family. It's not worth it. Even considering the fact every time you want to visit Nigeria with your family, you have to go with your entire family to the Nigerian embassy to apply and pay for a Visa to go to Nigeria, your own country. No way.

It’s not wrong to pass down your beliefs, that’s how culture and values are preserved... The real issue is respect and openness. Every parent teaches their child something, whether it’s religion, culture, or lifestyle. What matters is not forcing it in a way that shuts out understanding of others. People criticizing it are often reacting from their own beliefs, but ideally, everyone should allow others practice theirs peacefully.
